11/1 Wednesday. Any chance this will be streamed? Any chance? I'd say tes - albeit slim. Note that the schedule for season shows most games on PLN and WEEI. The scrimmage only says live stats. I'm not sure where live streaming would be found if not on the PLN

any chance that there will be an admission/donation? In a change in protocol, I'm going to say this is likely. I got an E-mail blast last week that my tickets are in the mail. In the blast it mentioned the scrimmages (women on 11/4) and said the tickets for the scrimmage were included in the package. It might have slipped my mind as being unimportant to me, but I don't recall ever needing a ticket to get into a pre-season scrimmage.

I think it is now called an exhibition game, hence, an admission charge!

No WEEI audio or on-line/app streaming until Sacred Heart.

Well, live stats (if they actually come through) are better than nothing.

My guess for starting lineup vs assumption is Pb JF KC CG and AB unless coach wants to start upper class men.

Interesting KC at the 4, will have to defensive rebound and bang with bigger, stronger 4s. But he will have the quickness advantage as a stretch 4. CBC must believe that AB can rebound with and defend a 3 Short backcourt may mean little 1-3-1 until a taller sub enters

Is there a stream for this game?

Doesn't look like a stream is being offered. Maybe they're testing it out, just like they're doing a trial run with the new ticket takers and bag checkers???

Do they Greyhounds still have a good men's basketball program? They used to play HC and PC decades ago and often gave both teams tough games (even rare wins)?

Holy Cross is 35-4 lifetime versus Assumption (of course, this is an exhibition game and won't count in the series) with the last game being in 1992. I had the misfortune of seeing us lose to Assumption in 1974. Assumption's record the past three years--looks like the program is struggling of late 14-15= 8-18 15-16= 6-20 16-17= 7-21

Assumption does have one big body, 6-11, 240 soph Nick Pasquale (from Worcester Academy). He logged 13 mpg as a freshman, presumably will get more time this year. Not D1, maybe, but an interesting test for what we do inside, at both ends.

Most of us agree that Charles, Benzan, and Floyd will start. After that, it looks like a crap shoot to me. A few posters have seen part of an open pick-up game, but I don't think anyone has seen much of a real practice. Guys have come in with great resumes, but I'm guessing early season playing time, especially this Wednesday, will be a function of how individuals have performed well in the last few weeks of official practice. Also, we've heard the mantra, "the best 5 will play". This may or may not always run true. If the best 5 are all really short, maybe you put a taller guy in for match-up purposes

As hoops reminds us periodically, who plays is more important than who starts - not always the same thing.

Auerbach used to say that who finishes( the close ones, obviously, ) is more important than who starts. So his 6th men, Loscutoff, Ramsey, young Hondo, etc. almost always finished

Doesn't look like a stream is being offered. Maybe they're testing it out, just like they're doing a trial run with the new ticket takers and bag checkers??? So we play a closed door scrimmage against a D2 team, don't stream our only "open" exhibition against Assumption, and don't provide any media or previews on GoHC.com -- the buzz leading up the this season is off the charts!
