After matching points (9-9) at the start of the half, HC then went on a 13-4 run to take a 20 point lead. Assumption doing better than HC on the boards in the second half.

MP had 2 rebounds in his first minute. Quite a pace. I am looking forward to hearing how this looked from eyewitnesses

Look forward to reading ncaam's report.
Seems like his pre-game preview was just about right on the money.

Just back from game Assumption not very good small and not athletic so tough to get a good read on team. Green will be very good player confident with nice stroke hit from outside and going to hoop, Grandison will also be good very aggressive on offensive end had a few blocks on defense, Faw will play right away likes to shoot from outside and moves well for his size, Butler didn't look for outside shot but is very strong with good body control around the hoop, Benzan played very well very creative around the basket, KC had quiet night missed a lot of open 3's, Floyd had couple of nice moves inside but tough to judge based on competition, not much from MZ, CLS hit one three, other freshmen didn't play much so don't think they will be in rotation early in season, little concerned about Green he seemed to be hurting again after going back into game after initial injury can't afford to lose him

Just to mess things up I'm going to just start typing random thoughts without reading prior posts, so this could be a little redundant.
- First thing I noticed was that Stevens was in street clothes and has a boot on his foot
- HC basically did what they were supposed to do and won handily against a D-II team
- Nothing has been published, but it would seem that Charles and Benzan are co-captains
- I was most interested in what the rotation would be. Faw, Grandison, Charles,Benzan, and Green started. Floyd was first sub for Faw and really played more minutes. He also started the second half. My guess is that Floyd will probably be the starter going forward. Next Butler and Zignorski came in together. I think it was for Benzan and Grandison. At least for the early season after the primary five, it looks like Faw will be first big sub and Butler will be first little sub. Zignorski 8th man and LeSann 9th. Copeland made his first appearance in the deep into the second half as the 10th man. Perkins and Niego only saw garbage time down the stretch
- Green is the primary bring it up guy. At one point Benzan stole the ball down low (not a good break opportunity) and immediately gave the ball to Green to dribble up.
- Speaking of which, HC pushed the ball a lot more. Might be just going up against D-II, but the push was very noticeable.
- No 1-3-1 at all. 2-3 sliding to a 3-2
- There were posts about Benzan really working on the 3. He didn't take a shot outside the 2 foot range. He worked his way in there a lot is looking to score. He wound up high scorer.
- Green looks like the class of the freshmen. Just did everything nice. Butler looks to score. Not trying to be the bomber we were led to believe. Most of his shots were on drives. Seems more comfortable on O than D. Faw rebounded well. Looks like he belongs out there. Grandison is in the primary five and shows a lot of promise but very capable of making freshman plays

Thanks, Tom. did we play any matchup ? It could have been, was hard to tell, was not 1-3-1. Probably more straight zone as Tom said
