I'd love to try, if someone would like to come up with a disguise. The Jim McCaffrey arena worker uniform from his Nestle Crunch commercial with Bird didn't work the last time I tried it.

Meant to add - looks like Coach is also toning down the strength of schedule with the secret scrimmage this year - usually another D-1

I'd love to try, if someone would like to come up with a disguise. The Jim McCaffrey arena worker uniform from his Nestle Crunch commercial with Bird didn't work the last time I tried it. Jim will be at the football game Saturday if you want to borrow the uniform for a second try Although scrimmages (as opposed to exhibitions) are not open to the public, I think you can get into this one. Just sign up for the morning Luth tour, then slip away from the group and hide someplace that has a viewpoint. Perhaps Nate's office. If you don't like that option, you could also bring a grappling hook and some rope into the ice rink. With a decent toss, you can scale the wall into the press box which will give you access to the Bud Ryan room. Try to be discreet, or you might be less welcome at Hart than you are at Brown University

Sounds as if since you have the idea, Tom, maybe you should try it.

Stonehill's three tallest players are 6-7, 6-6, 6-6 so our big guys will have quite a height advantage. Let's see what they can do with that, understanding this is just a scrimmage and won't replicate what we'll see during the season

Stonehill assistant, Ryan Herrion, is the son of UNH coach, Bill Herrion, and the grandson of Jack Donohue’s long time assistant, Jim Herrion.

Of course I know that, but we have to think that a D-1 team with a height advantage over a D-2 team should be able to capitalize on it. It is a scrimmage as we all know, so Coach will be trying out different things more than he'll be trying to win--if they even keep a formal score.
Stonehill was 15-12 last season and graduated its top scorer. One interesting player is Daniel Largey who, as a freshman last season, shot 67/126= .532 on three point attempts....

Do you think the scrimmage will be in the new practice gym or the game gym? If the new practice gym, unless they cover the windows, you can get great looks from the second floor atrium into the Blaney court.

If we had hired Billy Herrion instead of MB he would be on his second contract extension.

If we had hired Billy Herrion instead of MB he would be on his second contract extension. you're probably right about that, teamer. i would have liked either bill or tom (despite his tough personality) for that hire and we would probably be in better shape as a program right now. that said, i think our ceiling is higher with carmody than either herrion. carmody provides the athleticism-nullifying wrinkle that capitalizes on our players' intelligence that is especially helpful at our level. while the ncaa tournament appearance in year 1 and the implementation of the 1-3-1 during that run was incredibly memorable tacticianship by carmody, the incoming freshmen recruiting class will largely determine the overall success of the carmody era.

Providence is playing an exhibition game at Mohegan Sun and they are raising money for hurricane relief efforts. BC hosted Bryant for the same thing. Wonder why Holy Cross didn't do something like this with like Northeastern?
