This weekend was the final nail in the coffin for me with these "people". The total disrespect and tough guy attitude toward alum and fans in the premier lot was absolutely disgusting! I refused to purchase season tickets two years ago until these guys were fired. However, I am going to take it a step further. I'm no major donor by any means but have been a PC member since graduation from HC, all to the Crusader Athletic Fund. I try to do what I can to support HC FB. As of this weekend I'm officially pulling the plug not only on giving, but will not return to another HOME Holy Cross Football game until these guys are fired. The school is going in the wrong direction IMO. I've given these guys three years but now I'm done. This whole talk about dropping the Crusader, the Nazi regime RSIG bullying fans that never miss a game, and bad product on the field has brought me to this. I hope one day these guys are gone, the PC bull is over, and I can support the program once again
There are so many better things I can do with my time than constantly getting harassed at Holy Cross Football games. I hear there's a high school team next town over who's 8-0, and have kids committed to Harvard and BC next year for football, and seems HC ignores them. For now, I'm done.
FIRE RSIG NOW YOU ARE LOSING LOYAL FANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For what it's worth, I have had no issues this year. No one has ever rousted us at the start of either half. Some of my tailgate crew don't even go in and there has been no problem. One of my fellow tailgaters had car troubles after the G'town game. We wound up leaving the field more than the published one hour after the game, and no one approached us. There were also a decent number of cars still there when I pulled out who weren't making any move to leave.
I carry a bottle of water into the game each half. I tell the security guy that the seal is intact and offer him/her the chance to inspect it. Never an issue. Last year they wouldn't let you out until the final play of the half. That is not the case this year. When it's my turn to do half time cooking (2 out of 5 games this year) I left the stadium with about 5 minutes to go. I'm informed by security that I can't come back in for the remainder of the half, but since that isn't my plan I don't care.
Last year, I might have echoed displeasure with the RSIG guys on the baseball side. They might not be very efficient at parking cars, but this year RSIG has done nothing unreasonable that I have witnessed.
Maybe I'm just dumb lucky and park in a section of the field with nicer guards than Crusader12 does

1. I park at the top of the hill, and enjoy walking through campus. Nobody bothers me. 2. No guarantees about the quality on the field any given year 3. "Political Correctness" not an issue for me.
See you at the next PC dinner

Same here. Not a single issue all season. They were actually surprisingly friendly.
And the regular crew of Worc cops on the frosh field couldn't care less what what you do.

I get that schools now need to supplement campus security/local cops, but to me RGIS doesn't represent Holy Cross well at all. In some cases I think they look for trouble, and their "maximum security" garb doesn't send a good message, either. I've been to Providence College twice this year for hockey games, and they employ a company called ESS. They dress like customer service agents -- slacks and a colorful golf-type polo -- and have been unfailingly friendly. They blend into the crowd more than stand out. I do think HC needs to keep an eye on this. Whether it's at Fitton or Hart, they need to do everything they can to create a welcoming vibe.

Football tailgates, and all that comes with them, and hockey games are completely different animals.

The injection of RGIS into the gameday experience of Football and Basketball games at HC strikes of total tone deafness. I cannot think of any instances at a Holy Cross game where there has been a need for any type of serious security presence, let alone the need to pay to outsource to a crew of wannabe tough guys who present themselves terribly.

Does NCAA require certain amount of security?

Holy Cross is too cheap to pay for real cops as they did for many many years this is what you get. A bunch of people with no training, acting tough, one ago trips. I’ve seen some things that are ridiculous.

It would stand to reason the last thing HC needs is another reason to deter fans from attending football games...

There is 8 or so Worc cops on the frosh field and more elsewhere around Fitton every game,

Does NCAA require certain amount of security? No. That is left to the leagues and/or schools. PL bylaws have one line saying the school must provide "adequate security". The majority of PL schools only have the regular campus security people on hand at games.

Just interesting to me that there seems to be 2 distinct sets of experiences in regards to the security......

Seems like a lone encounter with a bad actor by Crusader 12 at the Georgetown game on Saturday.
I was at every home game this year and the only game that I saw the Worcester PD asked people to go in was at Homecoming in Freshmen field.
I park in the garage and enter through Gate A, and did not have any issues with either the guard at the garage or the guards or ticket takers at Gate A. I found them pleasant and respectful.
Same at the Hart for the Hockey game I attended. They recognize me and are courteous when I make eye contact with them.
I would be one of the first to talk to Nate or Joe if I had encountered a problem. So far no issues for me.

I parked in the old HoJo lot for ‘gate. They were nice enough. We left in the 3rd and there were ‘gate fans enjoying themselves merrily with no interruption. Not sure if the same rules apply in that lot. Honestly I can imagine that to a first time visitor the parking is a little confusing.

I think there is parking either there or right above where the old HoJo's was...not sure who manages the lot.
Parking must be confusing for visitors, 1st timers etc... I'm still curious, not sure if anyone has the answer but could the campus and surrounding environs handle a 15-18K sized crowd today?

I have not seen a Wprcester Police Officer at a HC football game in at least 4 years. And I’ve been to all of them. Perhaps you are confusing HC Police with the real thing. I’ve seen the so called security guards mistreat spectators.

Someone answered earlier... it happened as recently as 2011. Not sure what's all that different parking wise... the lower campus garage, baseball field, freshman field, still lots of parking at top of hill.... campus footprint/parking hasn't changed THAT much in last decade-plus.

Did someone, missed it, sorry.
I think campus parking has been somewhat diminished since that UMass game in 2011...it was pretty tight that night and that was with more parking on top of the hill (before Luth Figge etc), more room on Freshmen Field etc...
A problem I hope we have moving forward but it seems we are getting pretty jammed up parking-wise for crowds of only 8-10K at Fitton the last couple years or so.
