Manis and Infiniti can't do it alone - both had great games (28 and 14 pts respectively)in 69-63 loss team fought back from down 15 in the 4th qtr to take the lead 60-59 with 2 minutes left. Team is showing some grit and next have Bryant at home on Sunday

Grit...yes. But those early turnovers and the inability to make some bunnies hurt us.

This was an extremely frustrating game to watch, but in the end I believe the difference between victory and defeat was Hofstra's ability to get some key offensive rebounds. There's not a big differential in the box score (11-8 if you ignore "team rebounds") but it just seemed that Hofstra was quicker to the boards and was able to convert offensive rebounds into points. HC played its usual helter-skelter style -- getting some steals but also blowing some real opportunities with turnovers and unproductive attempts at fast breaks. Swords saw her first action of the season -- playing for 2 minutes in the first half. Nicole Morris has also made some nice plays in this game and in the prior game against Rider. Manis and Thomas-Waheed are playing very well, but it is tough to expect that they can do it all by themselves.

I did not see Jenay Faulkner on the bench Tuesday night at Hofstra? Was she sick and did not travel with the team?

I thought I saw her in sweats on the bench -- not in uniform.

It's that time of year . . . . does anyone know if our players routinely get flu shots? In the past, I sort of recall some players being out with the flu.

I thought I saw her in sweats on the bench -- not in uniform. I believe it was Maggie Locke in sweats on the bench.
