The Saints loss to the Vikings. All #43 had to do in that stiuation was let the guy catch the ball then tackle him. Game over. No chance of getting out of bounds.

Actually not that much of a knock on Gilmore personally or his coaching ability.
Aside from all of that, he was the unluckiest coach in the world (save for Lafayette this year).
Thinking specifically of losses to Wagner, Dartmouth, Albany...crazy things happened at the end of games that were essentially won.
Same with Payton...hope that doesn't damage his rep.

#43 did not exercise proper tackling technique which is sorely lacking on the college and professional levels. He had his head down and whiffed; also, his arms were down with no attempt to wrap up. I don't know what they are teaching anymore but it isn't good.
