Let’s guve it a little more time and a few more sports KY - apparently some think Lax is a bellwether, and can't resist yet another kick in the nuts to every single thing the current athletic admin does.

Of the two marquee sports, football was a disaster this year (4-7 and including the mid-season firing of the coach) and basketball just about as bad (11-18 and including the suspension of a couple of players).
Last year was also pretty bad (4-7, 15-17) but I'd have to say this year is worse.
Wouldn't surprise me if next year (a rebuilding year with a slightly more difficult schedule) the football record stays about the same but I'd guess the hoops regular season record improves a little bit.

I don’t see last season as an absolute disaster...though not a good year. The games with UConn, UNH and Fordham were good ones. Next season is a total unknown with new coaches and a new system going into place. Basketball showed steady improvement and I have high hopes for a better ooc record and PL record as well. I see more than a little improvement with all of the players on the same pages as the coaches. JF will be a force from day one, as will AB Nd, perhaps Grandison. Of course, all of this depends on players staying healthy...and eligible.

No doubt there were some good players, good plays, good series, good halves, and even good games within a college football season I would categorize as a disaster.

Very unusual that a game like UNH (certainly goes down as a big upset, and by a convincing margin) and UCONN (competitive vs a BCS school) happen the same year as said firing.

Graduating no one. . . League's top team losing a ton. Hoops improving a "little bit" will not cut it my book. And that's from someone always preaching patience.
