Kudos to the team for a really good win on the road, given all the adversity surrounding them! They could folded late after losing the lead but found a way to win! ! Loved the Butler jam at the end! Thank God that he didn't back rim it; he would have had to hitch hike back to Worcester! !
The "stat man" has taken over first place with six others on his heels! However, we have a long way to go with 3 regular season games and the playoffs (24 more picks in all) !
Overall we were 50/85 for 59%! Kudos to Crosser and somedaycamesuddenly for picking the upset by American over Boston University! !

Navy-- This is a tough one-BU won the first game by 7 @ Navy but BU has lost 4 in a row while Navy has won its last 3. For BU Walter Whyte, a fine freshman, has missed the last 3 games and Ced Hankerson--BU depends on him a lot, I think--missed 5 games in a row but then played so-so when returning in the two latest. Navy's defense has been very good of late and its rebounding often gives the Middies an advantage. Navy is 14-2 when eff fg pctg is 50% or better and BU's defense averages 51.4% in PL play
Bucknell--I hate to make this prediction but I think the Bison are just too strong-they've won 10 PL games by 10+, including the 21 point win over HC that could have been 30 or more. JF went 3/10 on 2's that game, his only game below 50% shooting this year. Bison will likely have an advantage of an extra 8 or 10 free throws. Bison defense is by far the league's best.
Lafayette- Laf beat AU by 9 in the first game and the Leopards are on the upswing.
Lehigh-- Lehigh beat Army by 12 at Christl. Army has lost 3 games in a row and 6 of last 7, beating only American. Army's defense has been weak and the team is committing a lot of fouls with opponents taking 70 free thrpws to Army's 43 in last 3 losses. Lehigh has won 5 games in a row and has hit 3's at 50% in 6 straight games, possibly a PL record. So today it's the #1 3 point shooting team versus the #9 3 point defense. Tejada and Andree are taking 50% of the 3 point attempts and are making more than 50% of them Andree has an O-Rating of 132 in PL games.
Colgate-- Colgate won the 1st game by 5. Colgate has lost its last 2 games--the last minute give-away to Bucknell then an upset loss to a surging Lehigh, a game in which Colgate took 46 3 point attempts versus just 17 2's. But Colgate wins with offense and faces a very weak defense today. Loyola has lost 4 of 5, beating only AU. Andre Walker will be all over the court but he has played very poorly of late shooting a woeful 10/37 on 3's and an abysmal 10/41 on 2's in the last 5 games. I think Loyola also has a weak bench

SCS may have another idea, but freshman Walter Whyte's absence coincides with BU's slide. Also may cost Whyte the numbers needed for all-rookie team, which he was a lock for before his injury - - which improves the chances for one of HC's frosh to make it. I'm looking at you, AB . . .

Don't feel good about Whyte losing out due to injury, but the way AB has come on he could clearly be said to deserve it.

Lafayette's talented trio of freshmen - Petrie, Jaworski and Stephens - combined for 60 of their 90 points. They were a combined 20-28 from the field (10-13 deep). American is a bad team, but Leopards have been playing pretty well lately, winning four of last six. With a quality, experienced big in Klinewski, they could be dangerous in the tournament.
Lehigh crushed Army tonight, 84-53, and continues to play the best ball in the conference down the stretch.

Bucknell has not played anywhere near as well as I thought they would in PL play this season. Maybe they feel as if they can turn it on whenever necessary to pull games out which for the most part has been the case. With 3 1st team league players they should be dominating this very mediocre to poor league. Perhaps they're waiting for the tournament and will turn it on then but it's very dangerous to let every team stay in the game and rely on pulling it out at the end. If I were a Bucknell fan I'd be concerned about the way they are playing. Thought Thomas had a very unimpressive game yesterday took a number a 3's for beyond NBA 3 point range and was clearly intimidated by Floyd on a number of occasions. Wonder what the story is with CLS an injury we don't know about or has the coach has lost complete confidence in him. Very strange given all the foul trouble yesterday he was a DNP again.
