Speaking of the Chez Magic, it appears we landed another verbal today. Cletus Mathurin would be a nice early Christmas gift!

From nj.com this morning, the New Jersey All-State football team:
***
Third-team OL: Patrick McMurtrie, St. Joseph (Mont.)
Height: 6-5
Weight: 285
Grade: Senior
McMurtrie was an imposing lineman for a team that was able to win by running the ball between the tackles. At right tackle, McMurtrie helped block for a St. Joseph offense that ran for tough yardage and controlled the clock. He is committed to Holy Cross.

There is no better indication of our rising (to use the "in" word) than seeing recruits from Bergen Catholic, St Joe's, and Don Bosco. The lines of our not getting those kids and our decline ran parallel.
Look forward to seeing upsloping parallel lines!

"Best player in the state" is encouraging......

Call me doubtful. While I am sure whoever Chris is referring to is a great recruit, especially the level we can compete for, this sounds more like stroking the ego of the recruit. "Best player" is usually referred to a QB or another "skill" position. Chris does offensive line though could obviously be recruiting for a skill position. Will be interesting as to who he is referring to but hope he's a 3* rated.

This is pure speculation, but I start from the perspective that there is only one known HC offer to an uncommitted New York recruit.
RB JORDAN FORREST (offeree #159) from New Rochelle would be my guess.
Listed but unrated by both of the major recruiting web sites. At 5-11, 215, he meets the criteria many on this board have been craving.
Plus, he has gotten numerous accolades.
As I said, just speculation.

The tweet was directed to DiMichele who is the RB coach.
All or some of the Ivy offers might have been contingent on him raising his AI.

Rodney Hudson tweeted his official visit this weekend at HC. Hopefully went well.
Signing day 2 days away - could use a couple more DL to this class when all is said and done. Seem to have plenty of OL and DB's in the mix.
Would be nice to add beef to the DL over the next couple of days.
