SOV, clearly Holy Cross wants to emphasize the Worcester location so as not to have people mistakenly think that the College is located in . . . . . Boston - as so many people already think (ugh!) I think Fordham, for example, should stop selling itself as "The Jesuit University of New York" and imply they are in Manhattan. Recognizing their location is within the 5 boroughs of the City of New York, shouldn't they more accurately and more specifically state they are "The Jesuit University of the Bronx?" Doesn't quite have the ring to it, does it? And while they are the only Jesuit school with the name "university," like Boston College, both Canisius and LeMoyne grant post grad degrees and likely qualify as Jesuit universities in the state of New York. Hey even the New York Yankees bill themselves as "The Bronx Bombers."

Fordham has a significant Manhattan presence at its campus at Lincoln Center Agreed (I foolishly told a prospective student several years ago I thought it was just the Law School...got up to speed real fast on the 2000+ Fordham undergraduates at Lincoln Center)) It is a great and quite accurate slogan: The Jesuit University of New York

I do not ever recall seeing this many "other offers from multiple schools" listed in those we recruited in previous years! ! Obviously, we have stepped up our recruiting and going after some pretty good football players! Will be interesting come the next signing period! If we are successful (I think we will be) it will be a sure sign of a new found respect/faith in our coaching staff and an appreciation for our new facilities!!! !

More importantly, the staff has to "close the deal." Nice that we are offering these kids also getting offers from D-IA schools but unless we land a bunch of them, wasted effort. That said, I really believe that the Chesney/LAC, 1-2 punch, will have positive results. P.S. Having all those D-IA schools on the schedule might be a 3rd punch.

Hopefully can steal some of these FBS guys. Chesney was able to get FCS talent at Assumption often.
