Carmody also has something of a monkey on his back vs. DeChellis, whose teams have never lost to CBC's on their home court. 11-0 (7-0 in the Big Ten, 4-0 in the PL) Wow, thanks for the research here. Hopefully, it's back to "throw the record books out the window" when CBC is coaching Holy Cross in the PLT.

Patriot League tweeing about the start of the tourney with a Throwback Tuesday. Good times! Let's roll from the 6 seed this year!
Patriot League Men's Basketball First Round Starts Tonight
Two years ago, Holy Cross made the improbable run as the No. 9 seed to the Patriot League Championship. Tonight, American, Army, Loyola and Lafayette look to become the next Cinderella story.

We'll get blown out at Navy. Then nightmare season will be over. Looks like 11-19 Next year, maybe we win 14 if we get some luck If nightmare is having the best freshman class in recent memory then I'll take it.

Lafayette outlasts American, 93-86, despite an epic performance by Sa'eed Nelson, who scored a career high 41 points (14-20 FG, 9-10 FT) and added nine assist.

Loyola comes from behind to beat Army, 82-79. Andrew Kostecka led the Greyhounds with 20 points, Andre Walker with 19.

Loyola comes from behind to beat Army, 82-79. Andrew Kostecka led the Greyhounds with 20 points. They now need to beat Bucknell and Lafayette needs to beat Colgate.

Have to wonder if this is Sa'eed's last game, could have a more featured role at a higher level (ie Mo Watson from BU to Creighton, Matt Mobley from CCSU to St. Bona, etc.).

That would be unfortunate for the PL. He is a solid player.

Army really imploded down the stretch losing 7 straight and 10 of 11 to close out their season. Have to wonder if Jimmy Allen is on the hot seat despite it being only his second season.

Yeah realize it's only his 2nd year but was on the staff for 6 years previously don't think in jeopardy this season but next year will be huge for him with basically the full roster returning.

Brennan 6-24. Bison thinks injuries enough of an excuse, but you are what your record says you are and he's been horrible. Won first year with Jones' team and has been consistent in being progressively worse in each of the four years since.

, but you are what your record says you are Simplistic maybe true in the NFL where teams are supposed to have depth, but not applicable to a PL team with 13 scholarships and multiple long term injuries to many players, inc a very good big man

Yeah realize it's only his 2nd year but was on the staff for 6 years previously don't think in jeopardy this season but next year will be huge for him with basically the full roster returning. Why does it feel like Army has their whole roster returning? Maybe a lot of their players have similar names and similar styles of play.
He should be on the hot seat if he can't improve next year. After being a Division I laughingstock from about 2000-2006, the Cadets have managed to move up to that next level of being a perennial middle of the pack PL team. But they've been stuck there for 11 years now. When we blew them out in the second half two years ago at Christl, it was Army's first time hosting a PL semi-final in the 25 year history of the league. To my knowledge, they have never made it to a championship game. They came close in 2008, leading American with under a minute to go down in DC in the semi. We beat Colgate in the other semi that day and had the Cadets won, we would have hosted them in the Hart Center in the final that year.

Won first year with Jones' team and has been consistent in being progressively worse in each of the four years since. The Eagles certainly had an unusual number of injuries this year, so might give Brennan a mulligan for that. But they lost 22 games last year and 19 the year before without a slew of injuries. Four players have transferred in the last two years, which is a red flag. If Nelson leaves and/or Gasperini doesn't come back, they will likely lose 20+ next year, and I doubt Brennan will survive that.

Is Karl Charles done for the rest of the season? Better question is if he's done for his career at HC? Will an announcement be made following the season?
