HC is now 10 - 10 in the PL (16-20 overall).
Finishing the regular season with 2 games against Lafayette May 5th) and 2 against Lehigh May 6th), both below HC in the standings, a playoff berth should be almost assured. The important word is "almost."
All 4 games are at home.

Over 6 relief innings, Barlok threw 86 pitches after throwing 3 innings yesterday, 54 pitches. 140. A very busy guy. interesting that the Army live stat site does not list the school as Army West Point

I would think/hope so. It will be a "busy" weekend.

HC will need to win all 4 games next weekend to edge Bucknell for 3rd and play at Navy. Otherwise, we play at Army.

Bucknell seems to be finished at 13-10-1 If we sweep next weekend, we finish 13-10. If neither team plays again, Bucknell gets 3rd since they have won 3 of 4 vs HC with one rain out. I do not know how a tie score figures in breaking a tie I would presume HC and Bucknell would have to play that rainout mid week. Bucknell would have the chance for a pitching advantage since they do not play next weekend. Would they use one of their top 2 with a playoff game the following Saturday ?

If we sweep next weekend we'll be 14-10 - yes, I believe we would have to play that game (25th league game) at Bucknell to determine the 3rd seed Don't believe rgs is correct in the likely matchup for HC. Navy is one inning away from sweeping Laf, so they'll be 18-7 (league season concluded) AWP is now 15-6 with 4 home games next weekend vs; Lehigh and Laf. - If they sweep, they would win the league but if they lose just one game, they're the 2 seed(as Navy holds the tiebreaker) - and we would travel to Navy (assuming we're in the likely 4th slot)

The makeup with Bucknell is this Tuesday night at HC. I think BU may be busing there and back in one day.

Maybe this is why 2 of the starters were yanked so quickly vs Army

This last minute schedule change happened solely because we won that last game at Army yday. If we had lost,no need for Bucknell to take this horrible one day trip to Worcester. If we win this game and don't take care of business this weekend, we still end up in 4th place. (too bad, once again it looks like we will not get our BC game in again this season)

Split reaction... Thanks for the explanation - "like" Sad we won't get to play against BC - "dislike"

If we had lost,no need for Bucknell to take this horrible one day trip to Worcester No, the makeup game would still have been necessary. If HC had lost that game yesterday and then run the table - including a win over bucknell - they would have ended up 14-11. Bucknell, assuming a loss to HC, would have ended up 13-11-1, i.e. a half game behind. It would have been better to wait until after HC's games next week and see if the makeup game was necessary - but that was not possible because then the hypothetical makeup date would be during the middle of Bucknell final exams.
