always tough to tell much from highlights, but he seems to use his body to shield defenders nicely, has a nose for the ball, found seams in the zone for jumpers, and has a decent looking shot. germantown academy is a very solid program and he has been well-coached by a real pro in fenerty.

I relied on the sports-reference site that WorcesterGray links to above. That listed one year of play for Mike Traina when you search for his name. However, when you go back to the individual years for Brown and the roster and stats, you see just "Traina", no first name, listed for 88-89 with that player, presumably Mike, averaging 8.3 points per game. No "Traina" without a first name is found for other years. www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/brown/1989.html

Is it possible that you guys are looking up the wrong name? Perhaps his real name is spelled "Trainer" or Trainor" but someone like 87 works at Brown and decided to translate the name into Bah-stonian?

Beating a team that is usually good in Flint Hill by 15 in a summer league game , is s good start for this season. We may not be recruiting any more guards for a while.

Regarding Will Ostrowski, he's flown under the radar for a variety of reasons, but is ready for a big senior year. He recently helped lead his team to victory in an eight-team, Team Camp, in Niagara Falls. He was up against 4 D1 players with a total of eight offers. Will is a plus/minus guy; he just wins. Here is his Junior Year Highlight Video: www.hudl.com/video/3/9908994/5b1b020d0dc1920948bda334

Wow, that's a crappy team he's on. Hope it was all sophs like him. Good Counsel is down recently, but is a historically very strong program. Many high D1 players have come through the program. The WCAC is really tough, one of the best leagues in the country.

Wow, that's a crappy team he's on. Hope it was all sophs like him. Good Counsel is down recently, but is a historically very strong program. Many high D1 players have come through the program. The WCAC is really tough, one of the best leagues in the country. Co-sign, as someone who lives in D.C. Everyone in the WCAC, even DeMatha and Gonzaga, the premier hoop schools in the conference over time, is trying mightily to keep up with Paul VI in Fairfax, VA, which has become one of the conference's (and one of the city's) preeminent basketball programs, with major backing from Nike, a coach that plays a high-octane style and a cozy, let me say, relationship with the top AAU program in the area, Team Takeover. And another WCAC school, St. John's, is getting major dollars from Kevin Plank of Under Armour, a St. John's graduate. Counsel, in my opinion, has also been hurt by moving its campus from just outside of D.C. in Silver Spring in 2007 out to Olney, which is about 15 miles from D.C. and a tough commute for a lot of kids. Still, Counsel is competitive in boys' hoops, but has done better recently in girls' basketball and wrestling.
