Have seen Key play the last 2 seasons for Brentwood HS. He is strong, very good footwork, scores inside and mid range. Rebounds very well. The fact that he is not a great athlete may keep the top schools away. Saw Curbelo last year. He was 6th man behind a 2019 we liked until that kid(Etienne) became a high D1 prospect. Curbelo is a classic pass first point who can also score. He is very quick and creative. His size may limit the top schools.

Robert Morris just offered both Curbelo and Key. Curbelo has picked up recent offers from Rutgers, Dayton, and St. John's (among others), while Key has offers from Rutgers and St. Louis.

Have to be honest. It’s way too early for me to be thinking about recruits who just finished their sophomore year of high school.

Waldron is a surprising place for us to find a target. It is in Scott County in far western Arkansas on the Oklahoma border. The town/county are very thinly populated and very low income

When a kid is seen in a National sneaker tourney, it does not matter where he lives

Perhaps a scholarship based on need? (I believe that he is still a recruited athlete if we have contacted him, correct?)

Perhaps a scholarship based on need? Given the schools reportedly interested (Kansas State, Arkansas, Oklahoma State), definitely need-based - colleges need him.

Assuming that none of the other three incoming frosh are on scholarship am I correct thinking that we have five scholarships available between the 19 and 20 recruiting classes.
