There is an alternative possible reason why MF used his frequent flyer miles and still employed by HC.
For years I worked for a large, national insurance company that insisted that ALL frequent flyer miles earned be used, not for personal, but additional business trips. Most, like me, simply did not use the accumulating miles until they left the employ of that company. It was a great company to work for but very unusual position. They figured that since they paid for the business trip, it "their mileage." However, mikes were co-mingled with personal trips.
So, maybe, HC has the same philosophy. Recruiting trip miles are theirs.

MF has been the DBO, perhaps he is going to step into the vacant coaching position..and it is all a matter of timing (posting the coaches position, filling it, etc..) and then filliing the DBO spot...just a thought..

Can't imagine that being the case. More likely the contracts of Driscoll and fava ran out this year and they were not renewed. Just a theory

Curious as to what's going on with Daly. It's been a little while since he decommitted from Hartford and his offers are HC, Niagara, UMBC and Morgan State with Maine and Marist reportedly showing interest (and having an open spot). I'm all for letting a kid explore his options but hopefully he makes a decision soon.

Methinks the offer to copeland says it all. The daly offer is dead.

I believe most HC employment contracts of this sort are one year contracts, rather than month-to-month. Contractually, someone might still be employed, even though they are out looking.

They are all about the same size and play the 2 or the 3 position. Where are the big guys? Where is the point guard to take over for benzan when he graduates? I disagree with hoops comma I believe we have given up on Daly.

Daly, strzala, copeland, kc, cls, ziggy, perkins, cohen.....insanity What about these men combines in some way to equal "insanity?" The suggestion is that we are overcrowded at the 2. Another view would be that, Copeland will re-class to 2018; Ziggy may swing between 1 and 2; Cohen and Strzala are wings; Charles becomes a de facto 4; and Perkins may not be healthy enough to contribute meaningfully. Now the guard/wing chart in 2017-18 doesn't look too crazy. PG. Benzan, Zignorski SG. Le Sann, Daly (and Perkins? Ziggy?) SF. Cohen, Strzala That leaves 5-6 open roster spots for one true PG and bigs. Still would prefer we try to get a big with the last 2016, but trust Carmody can read depth charts as well as any of us.

Thanks for the break down. I would also like to see some more height, but your last point is HUGE. Some folks seem to ignore that when posting. After all, BC is the coach and he does know how to recruit. After all, his job is based on the talent he attracts to play at HC as much as the way he develops those who are here.

Wonder if he is related to the Brito kid that played for Loyola (after transferring from Loyola Chicago, and a Worc Academy grad).

Those shooting percentages are indeed sub-optimal. This goes to show you that highlight tapes can tell you something about athleticism , quickness, court sense, leaping ability, probably something about passing, and about shooting form but not about true shooting ability.

Recruiting is, of course, an ongoing process. I don't remember coach D ever posting anything here about recruiting, so I am not sure why this would concern you. Most of what we see posted here has little or no connection to the real world of HC recruiting.
