Well, it was a glorious weekend for HC despite the score and what our curly-haired, fellow alumnus said in the Globe. Blink and it seemed like 1987 again at Chestnut Hill Saturday. On the gridiron itself, it wasn't so glorious for the Patriot League. Only our friends up in Hamilton kept us from having an 0-for Saturday. I learned Mary Ann's is no longer Mary Ann's Saturday...it's still there as sort of a no-name bar. Apologies to last weeks winnahs if you didn't get the two drink tickets there . A very impressive 5 people went unscathed last week: bigfan, nycru2010, wayback, efg72 and cruskater31...congrats...I'll try and get some Pepe's Pizza in New Haven gift certificates out to you all. Week 3 (All games Saturday the 15th): Another daunting week ahead...we play some of the better Ivies who finally suit up this weekend, another tough FBS game and some other very strong FCS programs. Agree. Colgate is going to continue to be annoying and win another game. Lehigh will burst their bubble for us later on.

Colgate @ Furman likely to be cancelled or moved to another site The Governor of SC has declared a state of emergency and asked for a Federal disaster declaration even before the hurricane.

I'll keep my eye (pun not intended) open for it. The BC@Wake game Thursday will probably be ppd I'd imagine too. No joke obviously...where I live on the SouthCoast, we were hammered by hurricanes that affected my family from 1938, 1944, 1954 and 1991 with loss of homes, major damage, long power outages etc

I assume they charter, but NC already has issued mandatory evacuations. What will occur is a mass movement of people away from the coast to inland areas, and the state may think that a football game is low on its priority list of activities to be accommodated and supported. Better odds might be that they move the game to BC on Sat. From the UNC Wilmington website. There were several posts on the Colgate board about whether the game was still on. As an aside, geez what a 'dead' board.

I would say for a school our size, we probably have one of, if not the most active boards in the country. Like our turnout Saturday at BC, we're a very faithful (and kind of crazy lol) bunch.

Schools for more than half the counties in SC are closed starting tomorrow. (Furman's county is not one of them.) Coastal Carolina Campbell game moved to Wednesday.

The reason Yale should be the choice: Ivy League Champions Favored to win the title this year Destroyed Holy Cross last year
The reason to choose Holy Cross: Yale's first game Yale has new coordinators Holy Cross has had 2 games, learned from the experiences Holy Cross' first game at home with the new coach I want to be cheering for them
