I also saw that Matt Duchemin from St. John’s Prep. in Danvers picked up offers on Sunday from Colgate and Lafayette. Since our recruiting class seems to be full at WR and CB, I don’t think we are looking to add to our class at those positions. Coincidentally, this was the same day the Boston Herald announced its Football All-Scholastic Team. Lots of college football players listed, including several D1 commits. Did Rivers make it ? Yes--here's a link to the list on the Herald's website www.bostonherald.com/2019/12/22/football-all-scholastics-and-league-all-stars/

I know that HC had been interested in St. John’s Prep. OL/DL Cooper Smith, a 6’ 2”, 315lb recruit who was a Herald All-Scholastic. I believe he holds an offer from UNH. Not sure if/when he fell off the HC radar.

UNH had two commitments from 300 pound DLs. One (Addison Darcy from Pennsylvania, who also had an offer from Holy Cross) signed his NLI to UNH last week. The other (Cam Bariteau from Massachusetts, who did a post-grad year in New Jersey) got a last-minute offer from Colorado State and has scheduled an official visit there in January; he did not sign an NLI last week. According to 247 Sports, Cooper Smith's only offer is from UNH.
I have not seen anything to indicate whether Holy Cross has interest in Smith.

I recall seeing tweets which mentioned Smith at HC for unofficial visits. It does not appear that he has signed a NLI with anyone yet.

"Exceptional catch radius"----that's a new one for me, but I think I know what it means. I think BB could be a big-time play maker

Looking for Butash to step up as the best passing QB for this offense, but this offense might need a Lamar Jackson LITE option. Not sure if that is one on the current or future roster but I am sure the future months will provide some answers

With Barron's announced commitment, the current recruiting class stands at 20. (Still waiting for HC to acknowledge the NLI signing by Matthew Kane, DB from Florida.)
Barron's commitment also means that New Jersey takes the lead with 5 commitments (13 reported offers), with Massachusetts in second place with 4 commitments (11 reported offers). Virginia (11 reported offers) and Michigan (6 reported offers) are tied for 3rd place with 2 commitments each.

Interesting that his note says that he’s committing “for the next 3-4 years”.

Hopefully that just means he believes he is not just a great athlete but a superior scholar who can make it through Holy Cross in 3 years!😂
That last part would be about as likely as him leaving early to play in the NFL.

Thought this was a dead period ( Dec 16-Jan 16)?

It’s a dead period, but I think that only impacts in person contacts. From the NCAA recruiting calendar for FCS football. DEAD PERIOD A dead period is that period of time when it is not permissible to make in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations on or off the member institution’s campus or to permit official or unofficial visits by prospective student-athletes to the institution’s campus. ncaaorg.s3.amazonaws.com/compliance/recruiting/calendar/2019-20D1REC_FCSMFBRecruitingCalendar.pdf
