National Recruiting Rankings by Conference going to start by HERO Sports on Jan. 27th. Final Rankings come out on Feb. 10th. I would expect this class to be no worse than 15th. Just my guess based on #6 ranking in early signings which didn't include Barron, Shipman, Scott. Then add another few more on 2/5. Just my opinion.

I assume the ***NONE*** in the table means no recruits in the PL made the individual top 300.

I assume the ***NONE*** in the table means no recruits in the PL made the individual top 300. I think they’re releasing one conference and one position each day. Because there are more conferences that position groups, some days have a conference but not a position group. HC alone will have multiple guys in the top 300.

It’s been discussed on this board surrounding early acceptance and entering school in Spring.
There is a Tweet from Malik Scott indicating he’s been accepted and is enrolling in school today.

Interesting. Would he be the first one in school history to enroll early?

He doesn’t mention HC. Possible that he’s doing last semester at a different HS? Hard to tell

Classes start at HC on Jan 21, so this would be the time to enroll.

My guess is HC. Not sure if first ever. Certainly helps toward Spring ball.

Do you think you need more than one hand to count mid year transfer students ? Has anyone ever known one ?

I don’t. I’ve tried a few sources to no avail. My guess - Duchemin. Also the coaches have recently followed two kids - Isaiah Gash (RB) and Matthew Nieves (DE). Nieves from FL and Gash from WI

Wonder if the Gash kid is related to former Penn St/Patriots fullback Sam Gash.

Wonder if the Gash kid is related to former Penn St/Patriots fullback Sam Gash. I did some sleuthing. Sam Gash was born and raised in Hendersonville NC and went to Hendersonville High School. He wen to Penn State as you noted and then played for the Patriots, Baltimore, and Buffalo. I don't see a link to Florida that would have Sam living there--unless he likes year round golf or avoiding state income taxes. There's another Gash NFL alum, Thane Gash, also from Hendersonville so undoubtedly a relative of Sam, but he played for East Tenn State and then Cleveland and SF, so no Florida link there either

Looks like Gash has a D1 offer from Drake and a PWO offer from North Dakota.

I still remember the Pats winning the AFC title game in 1997; Gash had gotten injured and couldn't play....Parcells gave a little speech when they handed him the trophy and Gash was the only player mentioned by name.

In the article, Isiah Gash is listed as 5'9" and 165, that would be small for a Div I RB.
