“OVERALL IMPRESSION OF CLASS: Chesney followed up his Patriot League championship-winning season last year with a loaded recruiting class, further showcasing that they are going to be the team to beat next season.”

Having watched the Springfield Central/Duxbury game and the CM/St John's Prep championship games, it's too bad that our recruit from Central didn't get to play against our recruit from SJP. Those looked like the best two teams in the state. I can't say how Mike Redding's Mansfield team would have compared to them; they played on a different day and weren't televised.

WR commit Bryce Barron. One of the many excellent athletes that comprise the 2020 recruiting class. Several of these recruits should make an immediate impact next year.

We may have to keep him off the basketball court so that he doesn't bang his head on the rim in an intramural game

We may have to keep him off the basketball court so that he doesn't bang his head on the rim in an intramural game At 6' 2.5", he can certainly elevate. That was almost a standing jump. From the video, his vertical is about 42 inches (the top of his head looks to be about four inches below the rim).. According to a NFL combine cheat sheet, the average vertical for a WR is 36 inches. www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/2020-nfl-scouting-combine-cheat-sheet-wide-receiver

That would be John Wall, David Thompson territory. Let’s not get carried away.

The video going to slow motion makes it look as though he stopped. But, it was a running jump (off of two feet). I wish there was a clip showing it in real time. As to the vertical, I leave that to the experts.

I didn’t think this video would be analyzed like the Zapruder film. LOL

Reminds me of myself as a young lad with those hops. Has one or more of your tribe inherited this athleticism ?

I've never seen a 1st team all-star list with 13 kids from 1 school.
Is western Mass devoid of good teams ?

I’m about that height. Standing I could just touch the bottom of the net which I believe hangs down 18 inches from the rim. So a 36 inch vertical would put the top of your hand 18 inches above the rim with your elbow touching the rim—-that’s elevating! If he can jump like that he should be able to abuse a lot of cornerbacks!

Incoming Frosh Malik Scott, with reported offers from Army, Cincinnati, Syracuse, NC State, and Air Force, did a Q and A on Instagram today. My son took the opportunity to ask the “Why HC?” question. Malik responded that Ben Blessing essentially recruited him and told him how great HC was. He came up for a visit in December and committed. Said it was easy to see why Blessing loved it so much.

Blessing and Scott were high school team mates in Maryland.
