Blessing and Scott were high school team mates in Maryland. Yes, sorry. Should have mentioned that. It’s a testament to what Chesney has done that guys are so passionate about what we’re doing at HC that they’re convincing friends with a lot of other great options to join them. Definitely doing a good job building on the great school/great football/great family value prop.

I think we had three senior starters last year. Not sure if any of them is coming back for a 5th year but there should be an opportunity for Blessing to see the field in 2020. (I am purposely ignoring the possibility that there will not be a 2020 season.)

Two of the three senior OL starters last year were already 5th-year players; I do not expect any of the three will be back for 2020.
Barring injury or unexpected surprise, I fully anticipate that Blessing will be on the two-deep for the 2020 season, and he may well contend for a starting spot.

At a minimum, Sluka would appear to be an excellent athlete for whom we can definitely find a place to play over time. There are folks on Twitter who claim his arm is very good in terms of strength and accuracy. Time will tell where he plays but i think he’ll play somewhere. One thing we know is that he really loves football as he could have gone to a top lax program but chose to focus on football. Inserted today for a designed QB run. He looked quick.
