As I posted earlier, Holloman not having an especially good game but that penalty was a travesty. A good tackle. But, we slowed them down again so they had to get a FG. 12-7. That's as close as we get in any first half.
Would be sweet to get another TD and go ahead for a change.
Again, Harvard is down this year, obviously.

Any possibility it is because he wants to talk to Wade about what he is seeing on the field and watch the defense from the sideline? No-imho His pre game comments indicate he was committed to giving more than one QB time |

Any momentum we had with the TD and holding them to a FG is gone. Offense sputters . . . . again.

I know this, it's extremely, EXTREMELY, obvious that he is very uncomfortable playing at this level - It's almost cruel to keep the kid in at this point and on top of that you're destroying our chances to win a game where 100 other kids have been working all year for the chance to win here. |

OMG, as I've said, Wade is consistently inconsistent. Gets a nice scramble for a 1st down and then botches the handoff, fumbles and Harvard gets it.

This is what I was talking about in the other thread when the entire defensive front knows what you're doing and are in the backfield before anyone even moves.... Shotgun formation, inside zone run, with 4 minutes in the half remaining....this is really, really bad. |

What in the world is Pat Murphy doing? 2nd and 7 and we’re running Wade up the middle? We have the ball with three timeouts near the end of the first half, and you’d think Murphy is content running the clock out and going into the half down five.

Ok, 3:30 left, let's see what Murphy dials up... Here is the synopsis: Play 1: Inside Zone run. Play 2: QB keep - Up the middle. Play 3: QB Keep - Looked downfield and immediately wanted no part of throwing, ran for 3 yards. Play 4: QB Keep, right up the middle - Did not look at all downfield. Now 1:50 left on the clock (o-lineman down (nothing to do with running the exact same play 85% of the time)) Play 5: Looked downfield, had 3 seconds, takes the sack Play 6: Punt. |
