Curious who was chatting about it '87...EEI? The Sports Hub?
I'd give anything to have some station that at least spent a few hours a week on college sports. I mean, how many more hours can be spent on the Malcolm Butler saga?
Maybe someone here would be interested in starting Crossports Radio? Or a Crossports podcast? I think this a great idea. Sports radio in this area beats the same topics to death. Talk about a college game once and a while.

The departure/cancellation of nutty Ted Sarandis' evening program many moons ago was the death knell for any college sports discussions on the WEEI family of stations. And WBZ never showed any inclination to venture down that road. I used to like the early version of Ted Sarandis (before he got the Ted Nation show, and became just another host more interested in hearing himself talk than listening to callers). He knew college sports inside and out, majors and the little guys. I met him once when he was with Eddie Andelman's show at a 99 restaurant -we must have talked about low D1 hoops for a half hour. Another time, I called his show while driving home in the snow from CT (HC was playing in a tournament); he gave me his "Ted Nation Standing Ovation Round of Applause". lol
Just today I heard Arnold and Keefe on EEI mock a caller who suggested that college football could be just as interesting to watch as the Patriots.

Felger & Mazz (well mostly Felger) hung up on 2 callers who wanted to talk BC Football on 98.5 this afternon. Mostly because it was BC, but he laughed and said no one cares about college football.
