Watching Houston-Tulane. Color guy former HC pg recruit Mike O'Donnell. Spoke of his HC recruiting visit, noting how cold it was in Worcester. Said "I told Coach Willard I couldn't feel my fingers!". Guess we never had a chance with him! He was stolen by Ralph’s former fellow assistant and so called friend, Mick Cronin, at N.C. State, who deceived Ralph

So, we get home and she's chatting with my wife and I finally get a chance to ask my wife, "what was she saying?" She said that the house was so warm and comfortable! Apparently she thought that because it was well below freezing outside that it would be similarly cold inside. Took her a little longer to realize that the streets were also not paved with gold. There's a great quote from some immigrant posted in the Ellis Island museum. "Before I came to America, I thought the streets were paved in gold. When I came here I learned three things: The streets were not paved in gold, the streets weren't paved, and that I was expected to pave them"

Great quote, Tom. My Irish grandfather, descended from the last high king of Ireland, was a butcher in Worcester for both Armor and Wilson (if my memory is correct) , losing an eye at work and had a glass eye ever since I could remember.

Bad news for you 70: Au Conchobair is generally anglicised O'Connor which is my mother's maiden name. My uncles have always claimed to be direct descendants of the last high king. We might be related. Disclaimer: Like most good Irishmen, my family would never let facts get in the way of a good story.

Touche! Though it was a typo, I kind of like the connection starting off with "crapola" and ending with "toots." I wish I had done it on purpose. I will leave as is for your entertainment.

Thank you. As I am sure you have learned by now, I am easily entertained and amused - the more sophomoric the better.

Been to Eire more than 20 times but never heard that the Irish nobility smoked pot.

"Iowa coach Fran McCaffery and his son, guard Connor McCaffery, both received technicals near the end of the No. 22 Hawkeyes' 90-70 loss to Ohio State in Columbus on Tuesday. After the game, according to the Toledo Blade, Fran McCaffery screamed profanities at referee Steve McJunkins as he pursued him down a hallway in the arena." www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/26089054/iowa-mccaffery-livid-son-td-upI should mention that Bucknell played Ohio State on that same court earlier in the year and lost by two, when a three-pointer missed in the closing seconds. Based on comparative scores, I believe that makes Bucknell 18 points better than Fran's squad.

C'mon, 45! You aren't thinking creatively enough! Wouldn't your day have been "made" if you found out the Ts were called by your favorite ref, McCarthy, who then caught the brunt of McCryBaby's tirade? That would be like a doubleheader.
