Two players are excelling now. Swords may have potential to become a third. I will enjoy watching the team progress.
The Men's game had great production values on both radio.com for the WEEI broadcast and on ESPN3 for the internet steam. I made an apple pie during the first half so I listened and then watched in the second half while it baked and was hoping to eat it during the second half of the women's game.
I tried but couldn't watch/listen to the women's game. I assume the NESN plus broadcast was excellent, but I don't get that. The Patriot Network via Stadium.com had a blank screen with the word "null" and the link to Emmanuel Radio led to religious talk radio, not the game. Live stats by Neulion was the only thing operational.
Of course the Patriot League Network failure could have been due to my internet connection, but following HC on live free internet broadcasts and/or radio links during the long cold winter is a treat so I hope every resource can be maximized for the fans.
At least the pie was good. I put in caramel sauce instead of sugar. Tasty.

Watched the last 5 or so minutes. HC was up by a couple and apparently the game had many lead changes. At the end, HC seemed to make some bad choices on shot selection and passes that made the difference.

Manis, now with 1,023 points, has moved ahead of Sarah Placek into 29th place all time. In addition to being on track for 2,000 points, she also has a good shot at 1,000 rebounds.
No Holy Cross player, man or woman, has ever done that.

Comparative scores don't mean much but one could be concerned when you see that Brown (3-2 record) was blown out by Bryant (been bad in recent years) and Boston U (with a new coach) losing both games by 18 and 21 points respectively

This is a bad loss. Plain and simple.

interesting stat thru 3 games: LaBarbera and Manis are a combined 46 of 47 from the line while the rest of the team is 10 of 22

I watched the entire game. Holy Cross' defense was pretty poor the first half, somewhat better in the second.
What was mentioned above and what I would have to agree upon is that they have Manis, LaBarbera, and improving Swords and little else. For example, the only bench player who seemed to get any minutes in the second half was Ezemma, and she's still quite not ready for prime time.
This I believe contributed to the aforementioned bad decisions in crunch time (fatigue); also, it was puzzling how for the most part only Manis and LaBarbera were shooting the ball late in the game BUT then when they really needed a 3 pointer someone else shot the ball (terribly).
Is Demski hurt or just not ready? Morris is out I know; anyone else out that would see minutes?

Demski still recovering from ACL surgery last year, would expect to see her play sometime in December, Faulkner is also injured and would be starting if healthy as would Morris.
