17 responses so far. After it is done, will post the results. If you haven't done so yet, the survey is still open and takes less time to complete than posting something here on Crossports.

On a couple the choices were "limited" and the intro was a bit slanted, but I am interested to see the results.

The Gibbons question should be eliminated since there is very little public information available.

I'd like to know more about who created the survey and what will be done with the results before I respond. Thanks for any info.

Yes, I created the survey and while I admit I don't have a lot of academic background on how to do a "scientific" poll, this is absolutely no different than the shortened polls people routinely put on Crossports. I have done similar polls/surveys for my Classmates and shared the results, as appropriate, with staff/administrators at Holy Cross. I used to work with a guy who ran surveys and opinion polls professionally and I suppose I could have run this by him first. I chose not to do so.
As for "slant," I did my best to be as objective as possible and if there is a "slant" it is towards Holy Cross as you will note that in the answer choices, I tried to put the most positive answer for HC/administrators first. Frankly, this was to try to counter-balance my own acknowledged bias on some of the issues.
Feel free not to participate as you are always free not to participate in a Crossports survey too.
The reason I did this was mostly to satisfy my own curiosity if there was any common ground among posters. I thought others might share the same curiosity.
And, yes, Rob, the choices on some questions are limited. Partially on purpose because Survey Monkey always says, the longer the survey and the more choices, the less participation. People tend to want to crank their answers out quickly. That's why I added an "other/specify" answer.
I will shut this down within 2 weeks, sooner if things appear to have reached a natural end.
I will share the results here when closed for anyone who is interested.
There are 26 responses as I write this.

Is there a potential cash prize etc if one participates? JK...thanks for your efforts sader1970...curious on results but I have a feeling there's a certain "group think" here but I may be surprised.

Might want to post a quick link in b-ball or football as that is where most of the eyeballs are. Dean Wormer might let it slide for 24 hours.

OK, not a bad idea, especially since a number of the questions refer to athletics.
BTW, there are 40 responses to this point.

Agree with ihoop. I imagine most of the voices around these parts will have a similar viewpoint, which may not be as reflective as all alums. Remember, we are crazy for discussing the success — and lack thereof — of HC athletics.

Preliminary results are not as "group think" as you might have guessed.

My responses aligned with my opinion HC is off the rails in many respects.

BTW, very interesting that of 51 responses, not one student. Maybe that "tells us everything we need to know?"

Now up to 73 responses to the survey. We are fast approaching the 100 responses that Lou referenced so if you have not yet participated and want to express your opinion, you might want to go onto the site in the next day or two as the survey might be closed down at that time.

BTW, very interesting that of 51 responses, not one student. Maybe that "tells us everything we need to know?" Students not paying attention to athletics unless they're on the team. I feel like the school spirit or attendance is so low that I can safely make that generalized statement.

Crossisback is a student, not HC When the only current college student in this forum that can be identified is not an HC student, this tells us everything everything we need to know.

Crossisback is a student, not HC When the only current college student in this forum that can be identified is not an HC student, this tells us everything everything we need to know. Wouldn't you guess that this would hold true for just about every school's message board?
