I guess we had a 4-0 lead and Baylor scored 2 in the 6th and 7th to tie the game. Great job with a Baylor runner on 3rd with only 1 out to force extra innings. We got our 5th run playing small ball but now let's see if we can stop them in bottom of the 10th. Would be a great win, especially after the horrible game yesterday. We didn’t get our 5th fun playing small ball. We tried a sac bunt that didn’t work.

That said there were some nice pieces to game 2 and if certain pieces fall into place the pitching just might be a strength!

I’m sure that was supposed to be a clever snark, but, alas, it fell short. The coach’s love of sac bunting costs us runs and likely games. Facts are facts

Facts are facts I'm just not sure how you think you know more about coaching baseball than someone who does it ever day. Feels like disillusionment. Where are your metrics and numbers? Or is it just your eye test?

Based on thousands of games analyzed, teams score more runs with a runner on first and nobody out than with a man on second and one out. Check baseball-reference.com and see how often MLB teams use sac bunts for anyone other than weak hitting pitchers

I’m sure that was supposed to be a clever snark, but, alas, it fell short. The coach’s love of sac bunting costs us runs and likely games. Facts are facts KY is right. Here is one of many available articles. (It was the first one on Google.) theocho.ca/sacrifice-bunting-is-sacrificing-my-brain-cells-57bd2ae22798Another important factor to consider is what happens when the batter can’t get the bunt down. Then he might be down 0-2. I actually like bunting. Sadly, sacrifice bunts just aren’t worth it in almost all situations
