I’m sure that was supposed to be a clever snark, but, alas, it fell short. The coach’s love of sac bunting costs us runs and likely games. Facts are facts KY is right. Here is one of many available articles. (It was the first one on Google.) theocho.ca/sacrifice-bunting-is-sacrificing-my-brain-cells-57bd2ae22798Another important factor to consider is what happens when the batter can’t get the bunt down. Then he might be down 0-2. I actually like bunting. Sadly, sacrifice bunts just aren’t worth it in almost all situations Thank yoiu

I agree with an earlier poster who compared this series against a powerful team, loaded with veterans as more of a scrimmage (especially the pitching parade in game 1). It appears we have a lot of talent here and I believe (hope?) the next few games will see it gel.

McGowan showing why he is our no.1 starter. We’re still down 2-1 bottom 7 - only 4 hits for Baylor

Baylor gets 3 runs on 3 hits. On to the 8th with Baylor up 5-1.
Baylor announcers have been most complimentary of HC - after mentioning the terrible opening game, they credit HC for forcing Baylor to come from behind in both of yesterday's DH games.

Our last 3 starters (Dvorak, Cronin, and McGowan) look like they'll have good results v PL. Of course it is too early to tell but that is one takeaway from a tough series v nationally ranked Baylor.

HC loses game 4 (1-6)...but HC showed some talent that will do well in the PL.

Did Alex Volpi get hurt in the second game yesterday ? He played the field early, but was replaced without an at bat, and did not play today
