On the men's side this is really two meets: the first is the battle between Army and Navy for the PL championship; the second is the battle between Bucknell, Lehigh, and BU to see who finishes 3rd, 4th, 5th, well behind Army and Navy.
Last Year 240= Navy 197= Army 117= Bucknell 81.5= Lehigh 62= BU 41= American U 23= Lafayette 11.5= Holy Cross 6= Colgate
This year
260= Army 243= Navy 78= Bucknell 67= Lehigh 50= BU 31= Holy Cross 28= Lafayette 16= Colgate 6= American U
So HC's men did earn quite a few more points than the prior year.
On the women's side
Last Year
Bucknell won followed by Army and Navy HC finished 6th with 67 points
This Year
Navy won followed by Army with Bucknell and Boston U tieing for 3rd HC finished 6th with 43.66 points

Two 6th place finishes is not bad, given the state of the men's tam in recent years. Good job!

Top finisher for the men was a horizontal jumper, Michael Pichay with a second in the TJ (three jumps over 48 feet/lost by about 5 inches) and a fifth in the long jump at 22'11 with all of his jumps at 22 feet or longer. The men ran a pretty quick 4 x 400 at 3:20.
Christa Moore was second in the pole vault jumping 12'5 1/2." She had the same jump as the winner but lost on misses.

Thanks alum. Always a tough way to lose, but congratulations to Christa on a very solid performance. Pichay had a good day as well for the men!

Pichay is closing in on 50 feet and 23 feet which are good PL marks. We have a legit outdoor record in the Long Jump (24'6") in the HC record books...set by a very legit HC track star back in the 60's.
As far as the men's indoor 4X4 is concerned, I think 3:20 is good for HC nowadays. It is not the school that is going to get the multiple 47 guys like you might see in some high schools and colleges. (When the local high school broke 3:11 outdoors it was quite an event around here a few years ago...of course the anchor could run a sub 51.0 400H and the lead leg broke 46.6 in the 400 open so you're talking real speed).
