Really good win for the Team (coaches, players and fans)! This could have easily been a 10 to 12 point win had it not been for several bad turnovers and awful shots taken, as well as key free throws missed. Forget who said that Lehigh's bench was thin and it really showed today! But credit the players for finding a way to win! The F boys (JF and MF) were spot on today! Really liked the defense they played with 1.6 seconds left and Lehigh with the ball. LT got the shot off but did not get a good look as we had somebody right up on him as he rolled into the corner! And, how about JF with the offensive rebound of the CG miss! Think the replay showed it was LT who hit PA in the head and not JF! Anyway, it will be a nice ride back to Worcester tonight! Am happy so see us beating Bucknell and Lehigh now but would rather it be in the PLT! !

A quick look at the standings, and with some hope/expectation that we can play well in Hamilton on Wednesday, it’s not inconceivable that we could be playing for the four-seed on Saturday.
Sure wish the students weren’t vacating as of Friday.

Great road win. With just two games remaining, as of now we have only been swept by one team in PL play -- Boston University.

NCAA Men’s Basketball RPI (NCAA.com) published on the day (or the next day that a report is available) following the final regular-season League game to determine the higher seeded team. The team with the higher RPI will receive the higher seed. Boston Univ......228 Loyola...............276 Navy..................258 HOLY CROSS....190

...and fits ways to lose to them as well. Any word on CN's health and possible return? He was not even on the bench today! ! He hasn't traveled to away games this year while injured

I set up some "benchmarks" for a HC win in the Lehigh Game preview
Benchmark stats for a Holy Cross upset win in the road:
HC keeps turnover percentage under 16%: 12.5% = YES
HC grabs 20% or more of its missed shots: 10 of 35= 29% = YES, thanks to second half improvement
HC shoots 50% + on twos : .51.5% = YES
HC shoots 38% or higher on threes= 38.5% = YES, how's that for cutting it close?
HC grabs 75% or more of Lehigh's missed shots: 68.6%= NO
HC holds Lehigh under 40% on 3 point shooting and to 11 or fewer made threes: 35.3% on threes= YES BUT 12 made threes= NO
HC holds Lehigh under 52% on two point percentage: 48.4% = YES
Well, this turned out to be a pretty good set of benchmarks for success for today's great win

The RIP has been replaced by NET. However there are other criteria prior to getting to NET for the tiebreaker. Head to head results among tied teams is the first step.

Kyle Copeland played 11 minutes today and had an assist, a block, and a steal and was 1-1 on his one FGA, a three point shot. It seems like he plays well when he plays 10+ minutes--an anomaly or result of a small sample, or perhaps he gets into the rhythm of the game and contributes. In the 5 PL games in which he has played 10+ minutes his totals are:
89 minutes 24 points
6-8 on twos 4-13 on threes .571 effective field goal percentage 1 offensive rebound and 9 defensive 2 assists 1 turnover 1 block 7 steals--that's impressive 6 personal fouls

Considering that Carmody was quoted here that Kyle was the most improved player, I am surprised that he has played so little. He is long and quick and like that he seems to be running in 5th gear when he is on the court. He is also a very nice young man. I think getting into the rhythm of the game is important to his success. I especially like when both he and Grandy are in together.

Just re-watching the last few minutes. Key moment for me - with a little over 2 minutes left, Tejada hits a three to make it a 6 point game. HC quickly gets the ball upcourt and finds Matt spotting up at the three point line. An utlra quick catch and shoot without a moments hesitation, and the lead is cut in half. Onions!

Absolutely the key, because Stabler was rocking after that basket, NAD can relate to 2016, and seconds later Faw calmly drains the 3 and the place goes silent

Missed the game today but great to hear there was some good play.
Hey Shooter did they run the picket fence at ‘em? Didn’t get caught watching the paint dry, I guess.
