Giving a spot starter and the bullpen some work on Wednesday would keep the rotation's arms fresh and in sync for multiple games on weekends. Sometimes a spot starter shines.

Lots of baseball yet to play but Navy in the driver’s seat for the 1 seed. HC, Army and Laf tightly bunched in the 2-4 spots. Not sure that a 1 game in the loss column lead over HC and Army with 12 games to play(8 for Navy) is exactly the driver’s seat. guess it depends on what you are driving

I heard Lopes left with and injury and Keough hasn’t pitched in weeks. Staff may be thinning out..

I noted previously on this thread that coach dic brought Lopes into the game in the 7th inning and he threw only one pitch before leaving the game with shoulder discomfort Navy really does have a clear path to the regular season title, esp when considering that their final 7 games are at home after Wednesday’s game At bucknell

If Dvorak and Cronin are healthy for the PLT, maybe we can emulate the battle cry of the 1948 Boston Braves magical pennant drive: "Spahn and Sain and pray for rain"
