Current standings below. A little tough to declare Army in the same boat as Navy at this point. Navy is definitely in and Bucknell is definitely out. 9-11 games left for the other 4 teams (they each play 25) with 3 games separating them in the standings.
Navy 15-5
Army 10-6 Holy Cross 8-6 (1 GB of Army for 2nd) Lafayette 7-7 (2 GB of Army for 2nd) Lehigh 7-9 (3 GB of Army for 2nd)
Bucknell 3-17

Doesn't each team play 5 games vs each of their five PL opponents?

The two walkoff wins for Lehigh adds to the importance of this series.

Doesn't each team play 5 games vs each of their five PL opponents? You are correct. We have 11 games left.

Tomorrow’s game is looking very important - lehigh swept bucknell this weekend and are 8-9 in the PL - we could use some breathing room from them and Lafayette going into the 4 games this coming weekend vs. army which just won 2 of 3 at navy and took the season series from the mids

We committed 5 errors in the two games yday - Lafayette scored 14 runs in the two games but only '6 were earned runs' - stating the obvious that we need to be better defensively

Tough start. HC trails 1-0 coming to bat in the second. Lafayette got a solo HR in the top of the inning.

HC now leads 2-1 after a very close call ends the HC rally. In the top of the 3rd, L has one out and a man on second.

Coach Di was just kicked out of the game. Never dull when one follows the Crusaders.

HC leads 3-1 at the end of 4. In the top of the 4th, L had runners on 1st and 3rd with one out and Dvorak struck out the next two batters.

HC left the bases loaded with a strike out to end the 7th - HC leads 5-1. A hit there would have wrapped up those, but the Ards still can get back into it as they come up in the top of the 8th.

Volpi is 3-4, 2 runs scored, a double and a homer, 4 RBIs After a very slow start to the season and a benching, he has been very good recently Dvorak threw 6, 1 Earned run, 2 hits, 3 BBs, 10 Ks.—sounds like a PoW

The wet weather held off. The 5-1 win took almost 3 1/2 hours, coming from down 1-0 with the help of a 4 hitter. Each team left 10 runners on base. HC is now 10-7 in the PL / Lafayette is 8-9. HC is third in the PL and has the edge on L in head-to head play.
HC has Hartford is next on Wednesday at home at 5:00 pm.

I hope HC has a stronger finish to the season than last year when HC ended the regular season with 5 straight losses and got bounced from the PL Playoffs by Navy 2 games to 1.

Navy is 15-6 Very, very hard, unlikely, but not impossible for Army to catch. As your friend Yogi said, “It’s not over until it’s over”

Is there a rational explanation for why HC's best starter (Dvorac, 6-2 2.48 ERA) continues to pitch in Game 3, while the worst starter (McGowan, 0-8 7.25 ERA) continues to pitch in Game 1?
Or is this like the bunting thing?

Maybe it's why Tampa Bay has openers instead of starters. Maybe the best arrangement would be to have the Ace pitch the first three, move to DH and then pitch the last three if needed. Start again on 2-3 days rest if not needed for innings 7,8,9.
