Picture Blake Verbeek if he lost 35 lbs . . . . . . and had a dozen legitimate D1 offers. Verbeek had none.

I wasn't commenting on Wilde's or Verbeek's skills. Someone didn't think 6'10 180 were exciting stats for a "big" . Just using a frame of reference we were all familiar with to understand just how skinny that is.
When I was in college, I saw noticeably skinnier

The cheer “Fed the Weed” for Jack the Shot attested to his build.

Interestingly, Sanogo and Coulibaly are both from Cote d'Ivoire. An informative item about him from April, when he decided to re-class and attend Putnam Science.

The most sought after of our recruits, Lucas Taylor, is probably sitting down right now to announce his decision. He has 35 offers.

Kenney looks like an old school player, at 6'5 takes the ball to the hoop and appears to have a nice mid range game. Highlights show little from 3 point range. Given the affinity for long range shooting in today's game maybe that's the reason for the lower tier offers he's received to date.

Looks like he can battle in the middle - and find his path to the hoop. How are his rebounding stats?

Given the affinity for long range shooting in today's game maybe that's the reason for the lower tier offers he's received to date. He also looks like he does not have a defined high D 1 position. A bit short for a front court big. Not athletic enough to play a guard or wing at that high level. I will take him.

Lefty #33.....shades of Colin Cunningham.....or maybe a left handed Jared Curry.

The last 6'5 player we had with not much of a perimeter game and nifty moves around the hoop proved there's still a place in the game for players with those skills.

He seems like a well-built kid who is able to play thru contact, at least at the hs level. In other words, the kind of player the program almost exclusively didn't recruit for a long time.

Every player we recruit is going to be imperfect. That’s why they’re playing in the PL and not the ACC. I like the guys who play bigger than their size and compete their tails off. A physical 6’5” who doesn’t shoot threes is fine by me as long as we have others who can knock it down from downtown.

I am not so sure that Kenney cannot shoot threes. The highlights showed him making at least two. Form looked pretty good. His two point shots were certainly more prevalent as was his inside game.

It would be nice to see some stats from his junior year but given the great emphasis on 3 point shooting it's hard to imagine that a highlight video would not feature his long distance shooting if it was a major factor in his game.
