Tweet is a bit confusing. Only the Mercer and possibly Binghamton games would be the two home games for the Bonnies as part of the now eight team Belfast Classic. The location of the other two games in this tournament is up in the air as they may be moved from Belfast to Boca Raton, FL because of Brexit.

Why would Brexit affect teams from the United States playing in the UK/Northern Ireland? I don't think Brexit will ban US citizens from traveling there.

The question is will it be a 2-1 series as was done with other A-10 teams such as UMass and URI? Where would a Worcester game be played?
Note that St Bonaventure has a current 2-1 series with Vermont where there was one game on each campus and a game at the Bonnies alternate second home in Rochester where they typically play a game each season.

i think that many/most effects of Brexit are unknown. A hard border in Ireland would at least affect attendance from the Republic to the north, as well as anyone flying into Dublin for the games.

If there is a game in Worcester, I think we know where it will be played but I'll take it rather than not having a series with the Bonnies.

Keep in mind, "St. Bona Basketball" is not an official twitter account of the university's athletic department. He or she seems to be a random fan. So, at this point and as the tweet implies, this is strictly a rumor at this point. I'm not saying it won't happen, just that I have seen nothing else referencing such a game.
As regards a return game in Worcester, who knows? The Bucknell game is a case in point. I had assumed that there would be a return game in Lewisburg this season ( or perhaps next). The official announcement last year made no mention of one. Some Bona fans were referring to it as a "buy" game, but I'm pretty sure they were speculating.

This makes perfect sense since Holy Cross is playing at Canisius. I figured they would try to pair that trip up with another game in the area (Bona, Niagara, U-Buff, etc)

Two games on a trip out to that area make sense.

Thinking the schedule might look quite a bit different next year - URI and UMass 2 for 1's over, just finished up home and homes with FDU and Iona. Assuming we get Harvard at home.....have to think the forever series with Sacred Heart continues. Hope we get a couple of different guarantee games.

The Bonnies have almost as much hoops tradition as HC Tom and Sam Stith, Freddie Crawford, -( mined the same NYC courts as HC) , Bob Lanier - are just a few of their all time greats

NAD, what teams do you think we should pay for "guarantee games" at either the Hart or DCU?

I think that Siena was a four year contract, so away game this coming season. Not sure about this one but a friend of mine who is a Providence fan stated that he thinks that we are playing the Friars at the DCU this year.

The Stith brothers combined to average 52 points per game one season! I wonder if that’s a record for brothers?

Well, Tony Bennett seems like a reasonable fella, so I see no reason why we can't get Virginia at the Hart.
If bigfan's scoop pans out, PC at the DCU is nice.

It's somewhat amazing Bona has been able to do as well as it does, given an undergraduate enrollment (male and female) of about 1800 combined with a location in the middle of nowhere.

Schmidt was born in Providence and grew up in North Attleborough. Went to Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro before going on to play hoops at BC.

Different spelling than the loathsome Pete Schmid, bc center, who hacked our Gene Doyle every trip down the court. What a goon
