Who's Cape bound? (which in my parochial New England attitude consider a cut above the rest )

No 'attitude' necessary - we know the Cape league is a cut 'or 2' above the other summer leagues around the country. Would guess Masel is the only 'sader that a team might look at. Two of our better pitchers, Eric Lopes and CJ McKennitt will be playing at Fitton with the Bravehearts this summer.

Who's Cape bound? (which in my parochial New England attitude consider a cut above the rest ) Summer ball team rosters are mostly set early by March or so. Players are often brought in on "conditional" contracts to fill out rosters until those playing in the NCAA tournament arrive whenever their season ends, and some get to stay all season based on injuries or when non-conditional players get drafted and elect to sign a MLB contract. Only roster not up as of now for the Cape is Wareham, and at quick glance I don't see any HC players listed as of the moment, though I'm sure a few will likely be added as conditionals.

With players becoming available as the ncaa playoffs head into the World Series, it looks like Chris Rinaldi and Alex Volpi have been released by Falmouth on the Cape. Austin Masel has been hitting well and is still one of their outfielders as of this week. A great experience for all of them.

Kale is off the roster of his Riverhead team in the Hamptons summer league after some early success. Spano is still on his Westhampton team, but has pitched sparingly after some early shellings

Seems Kale was playing well enough to maintain a roster spot. Wonder if he decided to leave early and take a break/get a job. Hopefully, not an injury.

i was on the cape last week and took in a game in Hyannis - very good crowd and fun to see ball players from power conferences. I took a look at the Falmouth website today and was amazed to see that Austin Masel is hitting .429. Their outfield is loaded with 6 guys so Austin is still only seeing 'every other night' playing time - but this kid is special and I am sure there are plenty of scouts taking a close look at him.

Met Masel’s grandfather in an elevator in a Boston hospital today. He mentioned Austin playing in the Cape League. I asked him how he was enjoying it and he laughed and said something like “What’s not to like?”

As the saying goes, Don’t leave home without it . I have been greeted in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Dingle, Kerry, Ireland, as well as nearer locales, because of my HC gear
