I am excited to heading out today for my 50th Reunion., and I am looking forward to renewing friendships and seeing all of the changes on the hill. Living on the West Coast, this may be my last trip to alma mater. Go Cross!

You know that once you hit 50 years, you are invited back every year thereafter, right? Maybe come back next June, too?

Chu, I hope you have as good a time at your 50th as my wife and I had at mine. It was a great weekend that showed solid planning and good execution!

Just went to the various HC webcams to check progress on the "Jo" and see if the weather is nice there as here (it looks even nicer). But what struck me is the folks walking on campus today do so a lot slower than during the school year. As they say: "Wait 'til next year!"

Here's to us all being around for (and able to attend) our 80th reunion (!), and plenty of classmates to celebrate!

Just returned from Holy Cross after a whirlwind coast to coast three days. The experience exceeded my expectations! Every moment was special, and we had a great return of our classmates to the hill. Special highlights for me were the teaching session on Friday morning about what it means to be Roman Catholic today, featuring my classmates John Baldwin, SJ and Jim Donahue, President of St Marys College in Moraga, CA, along with HC Professor of Religious studies Mary Doyle Roche. The discussion was outstanding, frank, bold and inspiring.
I took a tour of the new Luth Center and was blown away. I left convinced that much better days of athletic success are ahead for our little college. Another highlight was our class dinner on Friday night, where Ed Petrazolo and others presented a wonderful and well deserved tribute to the 106 members of outclass who served in uniform. Father Burroughs was so overcome by the evening, that after ditching his own speech and declaring the night to be the finest reunion event he had ever been a part of, he sat down and forgot to induct us into the Purple Knights. That was rectified when he sheepishly returned to the stage. 1970, you have a great legacy to follow from this year.
All in all, the entire weekend was first class from start to finish. The only thing that Mrs Chu Chu and I would change is better mattresses! Go Cross!

I don't think I am letting the cat out of the bag to say that we are already working on our 50th and our focus is to break the record of attendees at a 50th. Maybe absolute numbers but certainly looking for the highest percentage of Classmates returning. (Fingers crossed!). Chu, work on your brother!

Our class of’67 was pretty spectacular, inc a record Donation., with 76% participation.

The College web site has now posted pictures of the second reunion weekend.
Go to the Holy Cross web site (holycross.edu), then click on "Alumni" on the upper left corner. When you get to the Alumni page, click on Reunion 2019. Scroll down and click on the picture of the four men with Fenwick Hall in the background. Go to upper left and click on "Back to Album" Scroll all the way down to the bottom -- you will see there are 6 pages of photos.
Click on page 3 and again scroll all the way down to the bottom.
1. On the fourth row up from the bottom, there is a picture of John Luth, Joanne Chouinard-Luth, and Marcus Blossom. 2, Five rows above that, there is a larger picture of John & Joanne Chouinard-Luth. 3. Two rows below that is a picture of ChuChu (HC hat, red shirt) talking to Fr. Boroughs.
Click on page 4:
1. Fifth row down from the top, right side, there is a picture of John Luth sitting next to me in the Doran Auditorium. 2. Seventeen rows up from the bottom, there is a picture of Fr. Boroughs with a graduate of the Class of 1939 (age 102) attending his 80th reunion with his son, my classmate from the Class of 1969.
Lots of great pictures -- so nice to re-connect with so many of my classmates.

Great photos, indeed. It's nice to see pictures of some of our more illustrious posters--can put a face to the name now. Is Chu Chu's daughter restraining him from pulling Father B aside for a serious discussion on athletics??

I have been traveling in Alaska and just got back and saw these. Great memories!

Kudos indeed. Being a Crusader AND a Purple Knight is a great 1-2 punch.
