No. Different tournament. They are playing in the Gulf Coast Showcase with three games in Fort Meyers in November. My mistake. It gets harder and harder to keep track of all of these.

USD coming off of a 21-15 season, with a NIT loss to Memphis. Member of the WCC. Lose a lot of seniors. FAU, meanwhile, finished at 17-16, competing in Conference USA. Wins included one over Tacko Falls' UCF, and a win at Illinois. Don't seem to lose at much as San Diego. Probably two competitive opponents. Wonder if there will be additional games on these trips. If there is no exempt tourney, there should be 11 OOC games. Based on feedback: HOME Northeastern Harvard AWAY Siena Canisius Sacred Heart (my guess) St Bonaventure Florida Atlantic San Diego Money game or 2 to come? Add Brown to the home slate. I don't know about Brown, Ignutz, they have their schedule out and I don't see HC:

I'm not much of an analyst, but I will pick Brown to beat cross city rival Johnson and Wales on January 7th. I hope the Johnson and Wales culinary students will be providing refreshments.

Per the presentation in the Doran Auditorium during the reunion morning activities, it looks like MBB will play in the Boca Raton event on Thanksgiving weekend. First game vs. Florida Atlantic. No mention of the other two teams. The lads will also play at University of San Diego this season. I understand that Jim Donahue ‘69, President of St. Mary’s, was in town for Reunion. Should ADMB schedule a short hop up the coast for a second game as long as we’re out there? My sources have Canisis, Mercer and Hofstra as the other teams participating in the Boca tournament, after playing FAU.

Playing 2 games in Boca, not 3. Looking for a 3rd game vs another FL-based school.

Long overdue. It should be an annual game.

Yeah - because a game vs Fairfield moves the needle a ton for local interest...

The Fairfield game is in Worcester. For those of us in the NY metro area, we need one game around here every year (when we play at Army it's always on a Wednesday in the middle of the winter which stinks) - I'm guessing Iona is off the schedule and I'm hoping we'll be back at Sacred Heart this season.

Assume the Fairfield report is coming the release of the Fairfield schedule today. fairfieldstags.com/schedule.aspx?path=mbball&schedule=1325They have 3 games in an exempt tournament plus 8 other OOC games on the schedule. Interesting and likely indicative of nothing, but 3 of those 8 gamed are against PL teams - HC, Bucknell, & Loyola. Maybe they are rethinking their reported rejection of the PL back when Loyola & Boston joined??

Completely agree 'haze that HC needs to play in one of the five boroughs every single year.

I think CHC is misinformed - Fairfield was never approached to join the PL - in fact (having just had a daughter go through the college admissions process) I can say that Fairfield's academic profile has slipped in the last decade (as far as their undergrad requirements go) - They would be in Loyola's neighborhood in terms of selectivity. Not sure the PL would want them if they pursued admission, although personally I like their geographic location.

. Maybe they are rethinking their reported rejection of the PL back when Loyola & Boston joined?? Whose report was that? Knowing 8485, his comment was facetious. From reading the Fairfield version of Crossports, many of their posters would be in favor of joining the PL due to academic cache as well as the strength upgrade to their Lacrosse program, which is their second men’s priority sport.

IIRC, back at the time, the PL sought a geographic pairing for HC, which was BostonU. Fairfield's name was bandied about, but no football; i.e., if Fairfield had football, they'd be in. Loyola was chosen to round out the conference at 10 members, strength of their lacrosse program, and proximity to Navy.

Can anyone point to a schedule where our 'geographic pairing' with BU is some sort of advantage with travel etc.. as far as I can tell the league does nothing to 'pair up' travel partners in any sport and actually subjects our student athletes to long bus rides for a single competition. It's bad for HC (and even worse by about an hour for BU)

Without football, there was very little PL interest in Fairfield. And no interest in expanding to more than ten teams. I would have preferred Fairfield to Boston U.

A bit of a combination of what Crucis & Phreek are saying
And I may have mis-characterized the reports. Not saying that the PL went to Fairfield and said you're in and Fairfield said no or vice versa. What I recall from that time was typical board chatter.
Phreek's recollections are what I recall. I seem to recall discussion/debate on the Fairfield board about whether feelers were out or not. At best as I recall those board topics, there was a report that an exploratory discussion or two that never went anywhere close to a formal application, acceptance, and/or rejection may have taken place. Naturally there were no confirmations of any of that.
In the comment above, I was mostly joking about those old reports/rumors.
