Wow, what a summer for Brendan King, 2nd in the Cape League in strikeouts, 2nd in wins, and I believe he was the MVP of the all-star game. 31 hits, and 27 of them been singles (3 doubles and a HR).
Quite the showing by Escobar as well. Only 7 IP for Bourne in the regular season, but 15 k's in that time. So far in the playoffs he's saved 2 games and struck out 5 in 2 IP.

Wednesday night Brendan was superb again the the deciding game of the 3 game series vs. Bourne. From the league website:
Brendan King (Holy Cross) was dominant on the mound for the Commodores. King threw five shutout innings, striking out five and yielding only five hits to a team that had 53 playoff hits heading into the game

Here's a link to Brendan King's game by game stats for the season and I apologize for not thinking to just look them up rather than asking others to do so for me. He was 4-0 in the regular season and 1-0 in the playoffs. Scouts have to be impressed with the 44 K's to 9 BB's in 37 regular season innings. www.pointstreak.com/baseball/player.html?playerid=899441&seasonid=29795
