Enters the transfer portal, per VC.

This likely changes our finish in the standings next season . . .

The 2018-19 team logged a total of 6,675 minutes last year. If, as seems likely now, Green and Grandison leave, we'll have lost about 4,400 of those minutes.

Transferring is a nation wide disease, made even easier by the NCAA’s stupid portal.

By this time have the players talked with Coach Nelson, or is he not allowed to contact the players until his first official day of work?

Assuming both CG and JG depart . . . These freshmen better be really, really good - and right away. Returning % of 2018-19 Minutes - 34% Points - 35%
Rebounds - 32% Assists - 20%

We finished in last place with Green and Grandison.
It is going to be a rebuild with or without them.
If Nelson is a great recruiter, then these added opportunities to recruit scholarship players should be a welcome sign.

Let’s put it this way: I hope we replace green and grandison with a...well... green and grandison. Not a great life decision by these two.

If Green goes to Dartmouth and Grandison goes to Yale, is it still a bad decision?

This all goes back to Carmody being incapable of and/or unwilling to build a real culture in the program.
Between the miscreants who got chucked from school and the guys who are now leaving because they might have a coach who will actually hold them accountable as D1 athletes, the Carmody era may go down as being worse than Kearney and Milan.

According to UNHfan’s source, Green seems to be leaning to Fairfield

A little harsh, but not by much. Can't recall such turmoil in the program.
Resumes full of Union, Princeton, Northwestern, Wisconsin . . . weren't we just the smartest guys in the room?

Brown was better than Carmody. No doubt about that in my mind.

I don't blame Green and Grandison for leaving if they want, for whatever reason. Best to both of them. This has been a systemic failure, and starting from square one with Nelson now, it needs to be fixed from the top down.

A little harsh?? Outrageous in my opinion Outrageous was how much money of Holy Cross’ Nate Pine gave to Bill Carmody with next to nothing in return.

If this is Nelson being unwilling to kiss the arses of guys who finished in last place in the PL last year, then I am even more impressed with the hire.
Clean house of the assistants and clean house of players who aren’t willing to turn up the intensity to a legitimate D1 level.
I’ll take a lost year next year if it means reversing the course of where this program has been for the past 9-10 years.

I was very disappointed in the last four years, esp last season’s PL record, but I presume the “next to” in your “next to nothing” was the PLC that your preference Brown never sniffed.

So, if I get this right, the rumor is that Caleb and Jacob have entered the transfer portal.
1. Not sure this is factual
2. Even if it is true, neither has transferred yet, and may never do so.
I am not ready to slit my wrists yet.
Still happy for Coach Carmody, his family and the greater Crusader community that he has decided to retire. It is probably good for all concerned whether or not Caleb and/or Jacob leave. I hope not but they have to do what's best for them as they understand what's best.
