Thank you, Breezy, for keeping us up to date Do you know if Ezema had more than the four previously listed offers ? Did Lehigh Rich imply that Lehigh offered ?

Let me know what specific information you would like to see, and I will try to accommodate as best I can. Not really interested in a kids twitter page....but hopefully 1 link that provides home town/school, height/weight/position and other offers.
Appreciate anything you can do.

Based on what Breezy has up there it looks like he has the height/weight/state. Maybe position and other offers.
Other offers matters. It really does. It doesn't predict future performance - we all know that. But it's an indicator of what others out there also feel about the player, and it's no mistake that Alabama continues to be in the Top 4 every year because the have the highest "rated" recruiting class. Speaking in generalities, consistent high recruiting rankings matter. Maybe not for 1 class, but if you are high over time, it will lead to success on the field.
It also indicates who HC is up against and is winning the battles against.
Spence - I believe 19 offers - 3/4 of which were FBS; Ezema - 5 total offers; Vaganek - not sure because he doesn't tweet

I agree. I think he doesn't want to have his kid answer to that, and I'm sure he doesn't want to have to answer to those tweets. Overall - probably a smart decision. Certainly has good size.

Vaganek's highlight reel states he played only three games last year before getting hurt. One has to think that could affect offers

That's some size for an FCS linebacker.

That's some size for an FCS linebacker. Personally, it's a little strange to play for your Dad as your position coach in college. Don't really see that working out on any level for him or his dad. Maybe he'll end up being DL or Sam?

Really? I don't see it as much of an issue at all, but then again I was not an elite athlete so maybe I'm missing something. Aren't there numerous cases of athletes playing successfully for their fathers in college?

I've never heard of any athlete playing for their Dad as their position coach? Maybe other people have insight?

I can tell you that it will build a level of resentment for other players in the position group if he plays (even if it's justified). It's a weird dynamic that puts a lot of pressure on both sides.

Clearly if he deserves the role it could impact one or two directly, a handful of others who are close friends—but if he delivers down after down it will never matter because Chesney promotes a team first philosophy—- with that said if it is even or less in the competition for the position it truly could hurts the team

With his size there is also a good chance he gets to 250 and plays DE.

Of all the things I’m worried about, the staff giving actual or perceived preferential treatment to Brian Vaganek and causing resentment is not one of them.

Did Peter Oliver hurt the psyche of the team? Nope
