He made a tough catch over the middle, his second of the day, and got hit in the head as soon as he turned upfield. Looked like he might have lost consciousness. He was down for a long time. Prayers for him that he’s okay.

Are those calls reviewable ? If so, Titans should have thrown that red flag.

I did not see the original play but saw multiple replays. While close, it appeared to me that it was the Saints player's shoulders that hit Kalif's helmet. A hard but "clean" hit IMO.

Definitely hit him with his shoulder square in the side of the head. Just because it’s not head-to-head doesn’t automatically make it legal. Question is whether the receiver is in a position to defend himself. Mike Vrabel and I think he was not in such a position.

Awful, ridiculous no call on the illegal hit Sad that he’s worked so hard to put himself in a position to be a key contributor in what amounts to a playoff game next weekend and he likely won’t be able to play. Most important thing at this point is his health so hopefully they’re smart about it.

The Titans.....and the NFL.....don't give a crap about the young man, Kalif Raymond. Players in Kalif's situation are thoroughly expendable in their eyes.

Awful, ridiculous no call on the illegal hit I agree and it might have cost the Titans their playoff spot. NFL have been pretty terrible this season. I think some of the old guard (Walt Anderson comes to mind) need to be led into the sunset while newer refs, with a better understanding of the new rules and with less inclination towards not making the new calls, need to be brought in.

Weren't you the one saying a couple of weeks ago that KR should go and demand a new contract, when we were telling you that he had no leverage? This is rich.... NFL is a next-man-up league.

You were and are correct. I'm just grieving for the young man. It's a tragedy.

Unsurprisingly, Coach Vrabel confirmed today that Kalif is in the NFL concussion protocol now.
Certainly seems unlikely he'll get cleared this week.

It is good news they did not cut him or give him an injury settlement.
Simply - he was hurt. It is not a tragedy. He is the NFL and proving he belongs.

Not included in the injury report today - but their wr Adam Humphries is definitely out so KR should see significant time Hope you’re right but Humphries has been out for a couple of weeks and Kalif hasn’t really seen a big uptick in usage on offense. My second son drafted Kalif in his fantasy league. The team is named The Kalif Krew. He vowed if he made it to the title game, he would start him and he is doing just that. Hope Kalif has 5 catches for 140 yards and 2 TDs (or more) tomorrow. My son who started Kalif in fantasy lost by 0.34 points after the -2 for the fumble that shouldn’t have been. This morning, he realized that he wound up winning by 0.66 because of a stat correction giving the Ravens defense an additional sack. Hopefully this good karma extends to Kalif and he is able to fully recover in time to help the Titans to a Super Bowl.

Best case scenario: I hope he is able to recover in time to help the Titans to a loss in the AFC Championship Game in Foxboro As joyous Pats fans depart Gillette Stadium, the conversations will be equal parts “Let’s make our Miami travel plans as soon as we get home.” and “That Khalid Raymond guy was unbelievable! Where did he come from?”
