Do we know if he is a scholarship player or preferred walk-on?
My inkling is that he will be foregoing his prep year at Exeter.

The battle for the back up point guard could be interesting if Reilly comes in this year

He really fills a need for Coach Nelson and the Saders this season!! What need is he filling that Drew Lowder won't already? After losing Floyd and not having anyone on the horizon to seemingly step into that role, we desperately need a tough forward who can rebound and defend.

He really fills a need for Coach Nelson and the Saders this season!! Glad to bring him on board, but we shouldn’t discount Lincoln as he could make it a very interesting battle for the back up role

I think this is good news. Reilly is good. Undersized at 5-11-ish but knows the game, can shoot and run the offense, comes from a great basketball family, tough, works hard.

I believe Reilly will prove to be much better than Yuetter. Reilly will be on scholarship. Yuetter is a walk-on. Can’t see Yuetter playing over Reilly.

Welcome aboard and good luck Joe Not a fan of these late signings we now have 25% of our roster tied up in these type of signings. Please use the two scholarships in next years class on bigs.

I believe that if the coaches thought that Yeutter could do the back up role, they would not have recruited Joe.

Look I think it is good to get another pg , especially named Reilly!!
With that aside I watched Lincoln play in high school and he truly is a tough competitor who understands the game and is fundamentally sound. Whoever gets the minutes will lack game experience but give us an option so that is positive

I believe that if the coaches thought that Yeutter could do the back up role, they would not have recruited Joe. Perhaps, but not sure they wouldn’t take another pg regardless of how good or lacking Lincoln might be. This will be a different style of play so not sure any of us truly knows what they are thinking about other than they are relieved and excited they have a healthy AB coming back

I don't know but will be very surprised if he's a walk-on.

We really needed a second solid point guard...can't rely on only one point gaurd, fouls, injuries and Freshman stumbles all play into the need..

Either Finklestein or Morelli is wrong Morelli’s detail leads me to bet on him. VC has him as class of ‘19 committed to HC, but they probably got that from Finklestein

If that's the case will have 3 scholarships still available this year and 3 more next year. Nelson must feel strongly about Reilly if he's giving him a scholarship in next years class rather than trying to recruit another PG.

I read it as they both say he is a member of the 2019 recruiting class, which means he enrolls in a few weeks at HC. I think he was very wise to "leave" Phillips Academy (how early do they start classes there?) to attend HC. There is no guarantee that if he waited and competed with all other small point guards in the 2020 recruiting class he could have done as well. Apparently he fills the JG scholarship slot unless we hear differently and it is a good way to utilize a dead scholarship year. I didn't notice any resolution on the tall Siena kid in the portal, but like others, I hope skilled big men will be the priority for next year.
Let's roll the ball out and let the competition for starting point guard begin. I suspect Coach Nelson will do that and end up with a stronger team as a result. The pre-season coronation of the other freshman point guard may not be the best for him or the team and perhaps now the starting role will be earned on the court.

I think there will be open competition for every position and past performance is exactly that- should prove to be an interesting fall

If Reilly is on scholarship, it is Green’s scholarship. Grandison’s situation is still to be determined. Seymour went to GWU to be with his former coach.
