What a week! Not exactly a big, but a bigger!

He's big enough - looks like he can mix it up inside some, and has a nice shooting touch. Fantastic news, especially after Lafayette jumped in to offer him earlier this week.
Welcome, Matt!

Pat Strzala confirms the obvious with a new tweet - "My college recruitment is back and wide open." Best of luck to him

Awesome highlights (aren't they all?). Looks very versatile. Love his handle and finish. How tall is he?

Love it!! Welcome Matt! Now we have a LOT of flexibility.....great job by the staff......I guess there WAS some momentum generated from the tourney run. March and August 2016.....2 of the wildest months in HC basketball history!

A poster noted on another thread that PS recently started following one of our other recruits so it would not seem to be the kid's idea. Does the coach call up the previously verbally offered and accepted recruit and say, "Sorry, we changed our mind" or does he sugarcoat it a little and say, "We have recruited some other guys in your position and think it is unlikely you will ever see playing time?" How does this work?

Welcome to Holy Cross Matt!
WOW!!!!!!!! Time will tell, but is sure sounds like we had a great recruiting period!
The one glaring flaw we've had for many years is the lack of a consistent shooters who could put up points consistently night in and night out. From what I have seen and read, it looks like we have addressed that need! Time will tell...

As I recall some internet writers speculated that the offer may no longer be valid when PS decided to leave Hudson Catholic mid-season

No idea what happened with Strzala but I'm guessing he didn't find out today that he wasn't coming to HC. Transferring to public school from Hudson Catholic in the middle of last season was a red flag for me. No idea what happened but the odds are it wasn't a routine, voluntary transfer at that time of year.

Offers are made contingent on maintaining academics, and avoiding disciplinary situations, --unless one is a multi-star recruit that JT pere wants badly enough.

Haven't watched it yet but this appears to be a complete game video from January. Probably learn more from watching this than a highlight video:

Granted, he's got to get stronger. But watching him, he looks like he's got "Princeton Offense" written all over him.
Hard to believe, but in the last week we may have been introduced to the starting lineup for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons. Amazing!

I think he has quick hands--lots of plays where he got the ball off a rebound or via a pass and put the shot up in an eye blink. My favorite example was at about 1:30 into the tape.

That could be a good core of 8 in the 19-20 season.

Looking forward to all incoming players, but most intrigued by Stevens, a kind of "point post" who seems to enjoy making a good pass as much as taking his own shot - good P.O. fit. A mix of his senior highlights - posted on the old board, but offered again here. www.hudl.com/video/3/3601044/5721e056041ddc1b007ad431

Ok, I guess I got a little giddy. I totally forgot the fact there would be a senior class ahead of them when they are juniors! Ok, they should be happy starting together their senior year.

Every poster should enjoy watching this again to reconfirm what a great passer Jack is. As you say, he is intriguing
