"It's the easiest shot in the game." I like that point of view.

Also like this
The celebration was, like the Vikings performance, under control. Everyone else might have thought it was an upset, but the Vikings always felt they belonged.

A couple quick thoughts after watching Faw's performance in the District Final . . . Ended up with 9pts, 14 rebs, 3 blks. Rebounding stats maybe not as impressive as on the face, since Penncrest didn't have a starter over 6'3" - on a number of his boards, he was boxed out, but reached up and over to grab the ball - but still showed a nice nose for the ball off the glass. Good instincts and timing on his blocks. Most effective when he played essentially a one-man zone under the basket - got burned when he strayed out towards the perimeter, including on the deciding basket . . . Didn't look 100% physically, moving end-to-end or trying to open himself up for a shot on the outside. Put the ball on the floor on the perimeter a little much . . . Was repeatedly double-teamed when he tried to operate down low, not a factor there at all during the game. . . . Nice-looking stroke on his J. Nice FT delivery, but multiple misses . . . Had a tough 4th quarter with a couple of key TOs (again, on lost dribbles) and the aforementioned mistake of straying from the basket defensively on the final key possession (could have been the coach's direction).

In the first round, Upper Merion is playing Greencastle-Antrim.
Wonder if Jenay Falkner will be attending to see her future classmate at HC.

Upper Merion advances. 62-46 Matt scores 23, 11 rebounds, 6 blocks, inc at least two 3 pointers next game--Tuesday vs Northeastern, one of the favorites for the state championship
