As was stated on another thread this program has been improving under Coach Jackson (until last season's 3-13 record). We're now 3-4 (0-1 PL) after last night's 2-1 win over winless Bryant (0-8). Not sure there's a lot to be confident about when seeing that Bryant had more shots on goal by a 12-8 margin and our goalie LaPlante had to come up big again. 1st place Lehigh is next on Saturday at home. Will need to improve if we expect to have success in the league.

They were picked for 5th place (out of 7) in the preseason poll - just ahead of HC - so they might be beatable if LaPlante has a strong game. Beating the top four will be more of a challenge.

I think LaPlante hides a lot of problems with this club. Hopefully they can do something in her final season.

FH has a winning record both overall and in conference. A rare but welcome status at HC.

Lost today to AU in DC, 3-2 - outshot 21-3 and almost pulled out the upset with our goalie, LaPlante standing on her head - Have to say our coach got very lucky when Marcia decided to walk on to the fh team 4 years ago - she's played 99 pct of the minutes since then.

LaPlante is currently third in the country in saves per game.

Holy Cross now 6-6 after a 2-1 win over Vermont yesterday. The team's international contingent came up big, as Minke Koomen (Netherlands) had a goal and an assist; Sinead Walsh (South Africa) added an assist, and Marcia LaPlante (Canada) made six saves.

Fast forward to April, 2021. Colgate at HC. HC up 1-0 at halftime. Scored with 33 seconds to go in the half. Dominated time of possession in second quarter. Didn’t see the HC goalie in the picture for the 10 minutes I watched on ESPN+ after looking for and not finding the baseball game(s) with Lafayette. Apparently, if HC beats Colgate and Lehigh loses its game, HC will make the playoffs.
I don’t know the rules at all. Looks like they are a mix of soccer and ice hockey. Anybody know? Sticks with a small curve at the end (kinda like a Christmas tree ornament hanger). Looks like it would be very difficult to control the ball for ballhandling, passing and shooting. Perhaps that’s why both teams had averaged one goal per game coming into the game.
Hope the Crusader women can finish strong.

with 2-3 record we snuck into the playoffs today vs. no.1 seed BU at noon - this sport is big in europe, south africa and asia and unless your roster has int'l talent, it's tough to win big BU has 6 int'l players including three from Australia - HC has one from South Africa and one from Holland.
This will likely be one-sided but we're there and who knows

After less than 5 minutes, it's 2-0 BU - I know little about FH, but this looks like two different levels of talent hope the girls enjoy the experience and keep it respectable
