Here's the composite for PL teams OOC for the past four seasons. This does include games after the Patriot League Tournament, e.g. NCAA, NIT, CIT, etc. Of course we need the disclaimer: different opponents of different strengths and different venues each year
2015-2016= 50-70 = .417
2016-2017= 52-70 = .426
2017-2018= 46-70 = .397
2018-2019= 58-64 = .475

Looking at box scores of American and Loyola noticed that Nelson and the touted frosh Aldama didn't play for their respective teams. Must be some early season injury issues.

Aldama has a knee injury that will keep him out a while; Nelson had to sit a game for a minor infraction. Looking forward to Druzi going up against him in PL play.

Aldama has a knee injury that will keep him out a while; Nelson had to sit a game for a minor infraction. Looking forward to Druzi going up against him in PL play. A bit of elaboration: Aldama had knee surgery - but not ACL. Local papers and internet sources have said he is out "indefinitely" but I noticed a Spanish newspaper yesterday quotes him as being out "three to four months". If it drags out into February, as it appears it will, Loyola might have motivation to convince the doctor he should be shut down for the year to set him up for a hardship waiver and an additional year of eligibility. However in his case, if he turns out to be nearly as good as advertised, I doubt he will be at Loyola for five years anyway, so they may opt to play him whenever he is ready. As for Nelson, his infraction was not related to any team rule but rather that he played in a summer league more than 100 miles from his home. Not much further but still a violation. To play in any summer league, a player needs to get written permission from his school, which allows the school to check out whether the league is properly sanctioned and whether it is not too far away. Either Nelson never bothered to get permission, in which case he clearly deserves some sort of slap on the wrist, or else there was an egregious screw-up by AU's administrative staff. My guess would be the former, but I have no info.

So HC is the last PL team to still not have a win this season . Of course, 4 of those wins by other PL teams are against non-Div 1 teams. Hopefully it comes soon.

. Of course, 4 of those wins by other PL teams are against non-Div 1 teams. Worse, all four of those D2/D3 teams treated these games as practice games. Results did not count on their record. So the PL teams were 4-0 and their opponents were 0-0. Everyone undefeated on both sides!

In that case the D1 team could treat it as a practice game. So no one's feelings get hurt.

Some services like RPI don't count games D-I games against D-II or D-III opponents.

Never heard of two of those places, SUNY Poly and Cairn.
Looked up Cairn, it's a Christian school, D3 and NCCAA (National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association). Nickname Highlanders....why not the Terriers or the Totos?

Nelson had to sit a game for a minor infraction. Looking forward to Druzi going up against him in PL play. Lowder will have a number of challenging match-ups in league play - Burns, Jaworski, Cohen, and Sotos, maybe others.

Some services like RPI don't count games D-I games against D-II or D-III opponents. True, the old RPI and its successor, the NET, don't include games with D2/D3 teams. But once the real season begins, almost every D1 team counts games with D2/D3 teams as real games in their W-L record - even if the D2/D3 team doesn't count it. Lehigh is playing two games in six days ($9 admission price) with teams that view their games as practice games. Cairn and then Misericordia. Lehigh will count both as wins, but their opponents won't count them as losses. I wonder how many LU fans know they were playing opponents who weren't counting them as real games. A number of D2/D3 teams do count the games in the W-L record, but there is no consistent approach.

Boston U's Vilarino not bad either for that matter, not is Navy's Cam Davis, although Davis will see increasing minutes at the two as Sean Yoder emerges at PG.
