Looks like Loyola had a real solid recruiting class last year, in addition to Aldama who unfortunately got hurt the Spanish big man Dike has had a few nice games and Cam Spencer a 6'4 guard has scored in double figures the last 3 games.

Tavaras Hardy has long had a reputation as a very good recruiter. The rosters of Northwestern's NIT teams consisted largely of kids he helped bring into the program.

Interesting story Loyola freshman Cam Spencer's brother Pat was a 4 year lacrosse star and national player of the year at Loyola. This year he transferred as a post grad to Northwestern and is on the basketball team playing 25mpg averaging 11 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists per game. Quite an accomplishment for someone who hasn't played competitive basketball since high school.

American up 25-14 at Albany, 1st half (early start because of Albany's football playoff game).

AU up 41-33 at the half; they were leading by as much as 19 at one point.

Yeah at this point the league looks weaker than anticipated. Colgate looks to be in a tier above everyone else. Bucknell appears to have serious issues on the defensive end. Joe Jones has BU underachieving as usual. AU is playing worse than expected. Lafayette and Navy are probably the next best two teams at the moment. It would have been interesting to see what Loyola would have done with Aldama. Lehigh appears to be down this year as well.

Bison have had two unexpected losses: #255 Canisius and #212 Princeton, but last year Bison lost OOC to #301 Fairfield and #282 Canisius

Loyola beat Binghampton today 77-65, one of our targets from last year George Tinsley scored 24 for Binghampton, he's off to a nice start averaging 12.5 points and 9 rebounds.

Boy that's a major assumption after watching a kid play his 2nd or 3rd college game. I'd wouldn't mind having someone on our roster averaging 9 rebounds a game. Looking at his stats he's had 3 double doubles in 8 games.

They are a funny team but have one very talented guard. Watched him on film as well before the game. He is a nice player, but imo not an answer. Naturally I could be totally wrong but I wasn’t impressed by his defense or how hard he played. I wish him success and as I said I could be mistaken.

He's on the floor the entire game-playing all but 12 minutes in the first 8 games. Odd stats: shooting .383 on threes= good, but shooting .387 on twos= really bad.

Maybe his twos are all being shot 3-6 inches inside the arc?

KY I think your math is a little off according to Binhampton's site Tinsley's overall shooting is 40%, 3 point % is 35 18/51 and 2 point % is 47 17/36. He does shoot an abundance of three's as 59% of his shots are from outside the arc. Free throw % not good at 58.

I believe KY got his stats from Pomeroy, who only includes D1 games in his individual stats In an easy win over Oneonta, Tinsley was 5-5 on twos and 0-4 on threes - numbers not included in Pomeroy's stats.

I did go to Pomeroy. I also just made a minor correction to my post: .387 on twos, not .383

Lafayette 46, St. Joseph's 26.
Maybe Fran O still has a little something left in the tank. This is his best team since they won the PLC in 2015.
