Congratulations Is this your first ? How many is your goal ? This is our second recruit. The other Suhkmail Mathon was mentioned earlier in the thread. We have two more slots to fill so I think we go PG with one and we could either go wing or big with the last one. I would rather add another big but I think adding another wing is more likely.

IMHO, Walter Whyte is the best 2017 commit so far in the PL. You should be excited, SCS. Congrats.

Looks like Bucknell's two commitments haven't been posted on this thread:
1. John Meeks, a 6-6 SF from Burlington, NC. Had offers from Bona, Air Force, Delaware, American, Army, Columbia, Dartmouth, Brown, UNC Greensboro, and Charleston Southern.
2. Jimmy Sotos, a 6-3 PG from the Chicago suburbs. Had offers from Northern Iowa, Drake, Loyola (IL), Illinois State, Northeastern, William & Mary, Elon, Western Michigan, Princeton, Penn, Dartmouth, Cornell, Furman, Wofford, Milwaukee, Winthrop, and six others. Princeton was his other finalist.
BU still has one open scholarship, which presumably will go to a big man. This class will presumably end up with four players in it, since 6-8 soph Nate Sestina is reportedly planning to play a 5th year since he missed most of last year due to shoulder surgery.

Looks like Bucknell had to beat out a lot of teams to land these guys--says a lot about the strength of the Bison program

Kinda an out of left field get for us. McCoy had offers from Fordham, Cornell, Dartmouth, Yale, Northeastern, Elon, San Diego, San Francisco, Colgate and Lafayette. Definitely positive about the future on Comm Ave with the class we are building.

As has always been the case with Jones in my mind -- a very good recruiter, but poor X's and O's guy, particularly in-game.
BU will continue to be in the top half of the league with the talent they have on their roster.

Sometimes, superior talent can take an average game coach well beyond his ability.

AU gets its third 2017 commit, F Marvin Bragg from Gahr (CA) HS. Averaged 18 points and 9.8 rebounds for Gahr as a junior, playing power forward. Ranked 47th overall in California by ESPN. An "upside" recruit who has improved noticeably the last two years. Can shoot it. Marvin joins Sam Iorio and Drew Lamont in our 2017 class, with one scholarship remaining. Would think it would be a big.

Haven't read this thread thoroughly but freshman Ty Graves (former *** recruit) was granted release from BC this week. Great opportunity to get a fantastic player to play next January. Do we have a realistic shot? Reports were that he had a difficult time adjusting to the speed and athleticism of high caliber bball (which now that I'm writing this doesn't make a whole lotta sense given they haven't started ACC play). Worth a phone call.

Posting about a local school's recent release, that's all. Quite relevant IMHO.

Certainly relevant, however with the current Soph PG that everyone has been gushing over since the win against Sacred Heart, another PG already signed, and Coach Carmody's system relying very heavily on shooting, I wasn't sure if it would be a fit for Graves if that would mean 3 PG's on the roster if he was a "Pure PG."

Curious. You seem to view yourself as the resident "college basketball expert" on this board--- has Benzan outperformed Ant this season, in your opinion? Please limit the intangible descriptions in your response. I'll hang up and listen.

IMHO, there are things that PB does better than AT--many things, much better--but there is one thing PB doesn't have that AT does--a 3 pt shot--although AT has never returned to his Frosh form.
