Sacred Heart Lafayette Georgetown Holy Cross (there is absolutely no reason to lose to Fordham. We are a better football team in every phase and it will come down to offensive game plan and minimizing turnovers. Also, let's give a new PR some reps or just go with an all out punt block for 4 quarters.

Kick off returns are as much or more the issue than punt returns as I assume you are implying fumbles.
Yes, have to cut the turnovers or we risk another Lafayette result.

HC Punt Returners 2012 to today
Kalif Raymond 2012 thru 2015--Primary punt returner each year 62 returns for 464 yards & 1 TD. Long of 67 yards. Average return= 7.5 Yards
Jake Wieczorek 2013 thru 2016--- Primary returner in 2016, come returns in other years 30 returns for 409 yards. Long of 53 yards. Average return= 13.6 yards
Richie DeNicola-- Primary returner in 2017 & 2018 25 returns for 135 yards. Lon of 45 yards. Average return = 5.4 yards.
Alim Muhummad--Secondary returner in 2014 & 2017 10 returns for 102 yards. Long of 51 yards. Average return = 10.2 yards
Jon Jon Roberts--Primary punt returner in 2019. Secondary returner in prior years 15 returns for 48 yards. Long return of 25 yards. Average return= 3.2 yards
I don't see data on how many times each player called for a fair catch or fumbled

I am surprised that Chesney & Co. have stuck with Jon Jon so long. I can't imagine that there is no one on the team that couldn't do as least as well and do a better job holding onto the ball. The staff must see something that the rest of us don't.
Maybe he'll break one for a TD in the next two games.

Many forget (I don't ) but Kalif R had the "yips" returning/fumbling punt returns here too....not easy, but I do wonder how long Jon Jon will be called upon the last couple games to do this.

I'm 2-9 in the last three weeks. I'm in Van Develde territory right now. Lehigh Lafayette Bucknell Holy Cross If deepPurple feels like VanDevelde, I feel like a European soccer team worrying about getting relegated to a lower division. I’m afraid I am going to get a notice telling me I have to pick Middlebury and Bowdoin games in 2020. Lehigh Colgate Georgetown HC

LOL...believe me, it's the last outcome I want happening in da Bronx tomorrow but.....I've been worried this might be the only PL game we would lose all year from the get-go, FU really gets up for this game (treating it like a "rival game"...which it probably should be), it's nevah easy for an HC fan and I have to catch SoV in this somehow with one week remaining after tomorrow.

I haven't looked at others picks--I'll do a recap of the selections in a bit--but I have to think this is one of the hardest weeks of the year and that we'll see supporters of both teams in each game except for heavy support behind HC.
Sacred Heart-- SHU has won its last three games. The shellacking of Wagner last week was a bit odd in that total yardage split only 264 to 218 in SHU's favor. The lopsided score was due in part to two Pick Sixes for Sacred Heart. Lehigh had been playing well before last week's clunker at Bucknell.
Colgate-- The Raiders have had two solid games in a row and may have finally hit their stride. They beat Fordham last week 24-12 but yardage was 451-208. They won at Gtown two games back and at Cornell four back. I think Lafayette is only "okay" and we know HC handed the Leopards the game last weekend with all the turnovers.
Bucknell-- I'm picking the mild upset here. Bucknell has played well 4 of the last 5 games with the exception being the pummeling by Towson. Georgetown, after exciting its dozens of fans early in the year, has come down to earth and has lost 3 of the last 4.
Holy Cross-- I see the Crusaders rebounding from the embarrassing loss at Fitton Field to a Lafayette team HC should have defeated by 2 TD's. You can't expect to win when you repeatedly cough up the ball. In our 5 wins we have had 6 turnovers to 12 for our opponents. In our five losses we have had 12 turnovers to 7 by our opponents. Teams have been able to move the ball on the ground versus Fordham (Colgate 5.1 yds/carry; Lafayette 5.1; Lehigh 4.3; Gtown 4.6) and I see Cozier and Oliver and friends doing so tomorrow. I sure hope Spencer Gilliam plays. He's listed as a starter but I think that may also have been his status in these last two games which he sat out.

Please correct me if I’m wrong here: If HC and Laffy poop our respective pants the next two weeks, Lehigh wins the PLC at 4-2, UNLESS Bucknell wins out, in which case, owning the tie-breaker over Lehigh, they will carry the PL banner into the post-season (with a record of 4-9). Had we won on Saturday, everything would have been decided, but because we spit the bit, there are four PL teams, more than half of the league(!), that could still potentially play in the post-season. Crazy. Woulda, shoulda, coulda............. We should have had PL Championship wrapped up last week....... Hope we can forget it and win today. Nothing cures that bad feeling like a win the next week. Let's do this today !!!
