Well, as for an aircraft carrier, I'll withhold judgement for now. Rabinovich is listed at 6'10" and 215 lbs and most here consider Verbeek at 6'11" 215 lbs as way too skinny. The 1' in height differential isn't that much. Recognizing Verbeek did not weigh 215 lbs when he came to HC, we all need to hope that our new big man adds some weight and muscle when he comes on board.
He may have a bigger frame to do just that and considering the Luth weight room and the upgrade in coaching we think we have.

Just in case you missed this video before the Fairfield game that is on the HC MBB Twitter account. An outstanding job is being done to change the face of MBB regarding digital media. Excellent tool being used, hope it is finding a successful market and being leveraged for recruiting.

The highlights of Rabinovich show far more inside moves that require strength vs quality opponents than I saw of VB either in HS videos or at HC, obviously a limited sample

Now that that Martindale and Rabinovich have signed their NLI’s, is it permissible according to NCAA regulations for them to have access to the HC strength and training facilities?
Or do they have to be an enrolled student before Jeff Oliver and staff can actually begin a program with them? Being at WA, and local to HC, would seem like a great way to prepare them after they finish their season as Hilltoppers.

I am sure he will do well. I just don't want to jump on any high school recruit's bandwagon (or get my hopes up) until they actually get to show what they can do with their purple uniform on. Heck, I didn't even get excited about Lowder and Wade.

On paper looks like a real strong class, Rabinovich has a much bigger frame than Verbeek and should probably have an easier time bulking up. Together with this years freshmen class there appears to be a good foundation going forward. I have been very critical of Carmody's recruiting but it appears he did a nice job last year. I will definitely get to a few WA games to check out the two recruits.

I am going to guess he is 192.

who is the third ? Has he committed ?
One is Josh Ogundele, a Brit who is committed to Iowa. The uncommitted one is PG Quest Harris, who has reported offers from Bryant and Iona. NERR apparently likes Harris better than the college recruiters do, as they have him ranked #19 in New England. We should be set at PG for a while.

Positive news. Since all three recruits are from private/prep schools did they all spend the typical four years in high school or did any of them prep an extra year to develop? Also, are these three signees all products of initial recruiting by the Carmody staff?
Am I right to conclude that HC gained a certain continuity advantage during the coaching changes in both MBB and WBB because with the men, it was a non-adversarial retirement due to family medical issues with one Assistant staying and because with the women, except for the head coach, the entire coaching staff stayed? I'm thinking of an advantage compared to some transitions that involve firing the head coach, the entire staff, and the horses they rode in on.

Bigs to me mean height, length and size. No? LoveHC Yup. Height, length, AND bulk. I’ve seen too many games where our players get pushed around in the paint.

Thought it would be good to have a thread for our three incoming guys to follow their high school seasons and any other news about them like hopefully signing their LOIs today. The nice thing about our three recruits is they all play against very good competition.
