Interesting question - has a DI team ever been shut out in the first half and finished a game scoring MORE than 49 points in the second half?
Im sure its happened in the reverse somewhat more often (team scores 50+ in first half, plays reserves and never scores again).
Also is 35 points in a quater an HC record?

Have you finished your penance and received absolution before starting a new thread ? Well if anything it appears I came up with a pretty good question because Crossports is thus far completely stumped. Perhaps we did set some kind of obscure record?

The most second half points I can recall was against Lehigh in 1991 when we scored 36 second half points (and they scored 35 in the same half). Scoring 35 in half of a quarter (the kids tell me that’s an eighth) as we did yesterday is something we are unlikely to see again.

I wasn't there, but according to the Holy Cross Football 2019 Fact Book, Holy Cross defeated Bates on NOVEMBER 16, 1935, by a score of 79-0 (most points scored and biggest margin of victory in HC football history).
Unfortunately, there is no record shown in the Fact Book for most points scored in a quarter. But if 35 points in a quarter is not a record, it should be pretty close.

What game fairly recently did we have 2 successful "Hail Mary's" in each half and still lose? That is classic "HC trivia"....sorry, but you have to laugh sometimes.

Frankly, I didn’t expect to last this long, but here I am. The second family with the four young kids keeps me young.
